Problem with KQVI introduction movie

Hello all,

Like most of you, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of TSL, and I've been playing the newest edition of the King's Quest Collection to prepare for it.  However, I've recently had a problem with KQVI that I wondered whether any here could solve:

The introduction movie's visuals (from 'Long ago...' to the ship wreck) are horribly stuttery.  The audio is not affected, but there is practically no frame of animation that doesn't go back a step or disturb the flow of things.  I've even compared my video to the snippet from GameSpot's 'Best of All Time' feature, and, alas, their film rolls much more smoothly.

I have Windows XP, am using the Collector's Edition CD, and am running the Dosbox 70 patch that improves sound quality; it should be noted, however, that the stutter problem was present even before installing the patch.  After the movie, or by pressing play, the game runs perfectly, but I'd like to fix this blemish if possible.  King's Quests I-VIII run fine, aside from this flaw.

Thanks for the help, and my apologies if this is in the wrong place!

Also:  I thought converting the .SEQ movie files into something less archaic might help, but I didn't know how to go about doing this.  My copy is the DOS CD version, and I have not run the game under Windows 3.1x.

You are not alone.  It happens to me as well with the visuals of the KQ VI beginning movie in the collection.  The rest of the collection is okay too in my case.
