Sorry, i couldnt find any information to help me anywhere so i turned here!  Anyways, how do I play KQ4?  It asks me to write in a password from the instruction manual, but the instruction manual doesn't have anything....  This is weird..  I can play all the other games fine..  THANKS! :suffer:

is't there  written a story about KQ4 in your manual? The codes should be there. If not I have a manual that has them at home.

Well, i bought the collection edition and it didn't come with a manual, it just had a tiny slip of paper telling me how to install the thing.  hmmm it's all right, ill look for the manual online, but thanks anyway!

The manuals for all the KQ games should be on the CD in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

MusicallyInspired is correct it is on the disk and I the name it KQManual.pdf.

There is also a button on the menu that say "View Manual" in the bottom left which will open said PDF.

I had your same problem, and last night I found help.  Go here and download that zip file.  Unpack it.  What I did then is I opened all of the text files *there's like 10-15 of them* and copy-and-pasted them in Microsoft Word, and set it up like my printed off walkthroughs for all of my KQ games, and then merely printed it.  Now when I play KQIV all I have to do is use those papers to get past the password thingy.

When I deleted the unneccessary spaces I got it on five sheets of paper.  I hope I've been of some help to you  ;D

EDIT: Forum stretching.

The codes for KQIV are on page 26 of the .pdf file.
All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not touched by the frost

From the ashes a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
The crownless again shall be king

Thanks for the answers guys, i truly appreciate it!!!  i am playing the game now  ;D ;D ;D ;D :suffer: 8)

I have another question for those who have the KQ COLLECTION!!  Why does the screen squish down and have bars on top and bottom?  On my other version of King's Quest 4 and 5, it doesn't squish it down and make the guys look fat....  It's really annoying, is there anyway to fix this??  I've tried everything, it seems to be only on the KQ collection.. all the games are squished down as if to fit a widescreen or something..  There are no options or anything about the windows or anything.....

EDIT: modifying double-post :cat:
