I think the first one and the third ones are my favorite...  I like the time travel part!
Time travel movies/books always make my head hurt... although HP wasn't too bad and it doesn't stop me from reading/watching them. :P

I will not buy any of the movies. Watched the 1st one on tv with the book on my lap and boy, did it involve some serious flipping forwards and back again. :sweating:

It's very difficult for me to name favourites, in whatever category. I hate to choose. :-\

I really need to preorder the new book. Since I'm in a completely strange environment, I probably shouldn't go to a midnight party :P

I like the 4th book the most. And the 5th isn't my least favorite(I don't consider any a LEAST favorite), but I hate how angry and whiney Harry is in it.
And the 3rd movie I like the least. Too much junk that isn't even in the book and way too much left out.

Have you reread the 5th one? Harry seems a lot lest angsty-whiney-life-sucks, in it than I remember.

...I can relate to Harry in the 5th book. XP

It had real depth of emotion where sometimes I had to just shut the book and think about the scope of what just happened. My least favorite was the 4th, though I have no clue why. :P The 3rd was my favorite before the 5th came out. I think I really like the Sirius plots. XD I mean, Harry finally had an adult that cared about him without being judgmental. A lot like Harry, pretty much anytime I saw Sirius's writing, I got happier all of the sudden. :P The number one thing I like about books is my ability to relate to them, to really immerse myself in the book and put myself in the main character's shoes. The 6th book was so...epic, it was hard to do that. The first two were pretty simple. The third had a lot of emotion. The 4th seemed more about the plot than how Harry was relating to the plot. The 5th was FULL of teenagey angst-ness (Though I don't think he was really being whiny, if you could imagine how he felt. Nothing to me seemed out-of-place for a reaction,) which, being a teenager, I'm allowed to indulge myself in. Also, I think the 5th had a LOT of hilarious moments where I couldn't help cracking up. :P

"The teachers were, of course, forbidden from mentioning the interview...but they found ways to express their feelings about it just the same...Professor Trelawney broke into hysterical sobs during Divination and announced to the startled class, and a very disapproving Umbridge, that Harry was not going to suffer an early death after all, but would live to a ripe old age, become Minister of Magic, and have twelve children."

How funny would it be if in the epilogue of the 7th book, that turns out to be true?  :suffer:

At least it's not 1337 kids... :P

And yeah, that would be pretty great. XD Somehow I don't think Harry wants much to do with the Ministry though. :P

He only doesn't like certain people in power in the Ministry, not the whole thing. He likes Arthur Weasley afterall.

But Moody isn't in the ministry anymore. :P He doesn't like the Minister. He doesn't like the way half the people were in Lucius Malfoy's pockets before he was sent to Azkaban, and he CERTAINLY doesn't like that the Ministry set most of the wizarding against him and Dumbledore. ;P

I actually think it's the exact opposite. He can't stand the Ministry as an organization, but he likes certain people in it,

It's almost 50% off on Amazon, you get a $5 gift certificate for their site, and you're guaranteed to get it release day or its free. :D

Although, admittedly, I don't know if anywhere else has a better deal as I haven't looked. :P

koko_99_2001

Barnes & Noble has it for $20.99. I do have a gift card for that, but I don't really want to pay for shipping...

Yeah, I'm torn!

How much is shipping on Amazon?

I just bought another copy, because my Mom said she's willing to pay for another one so she doesn't have to listen to my sister and I fight over one. ::)

$3.99, so it's $21.98 all together, and I didn't get charged any tax.
