Have any of you played the new sam and max episodes? Im going to buy the whole season soonbut was curious what its like. I played the first demo. Whats it like compared to Hit the Road? Do we visit any of the same places?

Well, I went to best buy and bought Season One today . I havent played it yet and would still like to know what you guys (who have played) think about it.

I have no played it yet either. I've heard its different from Hit the Road but still pretty good. I'm planning to buy the retail version myself sometime.

It's AWESOME, though Ep.6 supposedly isn't as good as Ep. 5. Honestly, I've barely started Bright Side of the moon but I haven't been as impressed as with Reality 2.0

As for familiar locations, the only one is the office(unless you count Sam & Max going to the moon in the cartoon). I must say that Season 1 is somewhat lacking in mindless violence(whereas you could get into a LOT of brawls with Lee-Harvey in Hit the Road, as well as use Max as a shock plug, and sic him on a delinquent in Bosco's)

Season 1 is most worth playing through, and Season 2 is looking to be awesome as well. Season 1 does have a lot of humor, from the antics of the Soda Poppers to fighting Blue Slimes and Auntie Bioutic in Reality 2.0, from singing bear heads to a musical piece by the Secret Service, and of course the inaugeration of President Max.

I just finished Ep. 1. It seems like a good game so far.  I dont think its as good as Hit the Road , but I think I hold that game very high since it was one of my firsts. I can't wait to start ep. 2!

Yeah, played the demo years ago but never been able to get it. Can't wait.

Hit the Road arrived today and I played into it a little, so far loving it! They've updated the game so that it runs on XP but it renders the graphics awfully, thankfully they included the DOS version. So I'm just running the DOS version through ScummVM.

I just finished Sam and max season 1. It was pretty good. Still love Hit the road more though

I'm definitely looking forward to season 2. Some of the season 1 games were a tad buggy when they came out on gametap and it looked like they were sorta feeling their way back into familiar territory, but definitely the old humor is there. I love all the crazy extra stuff you can do in the game if you mess around.
