:(

I haven't check the forums in a long time. This is indeed very sad news. The project will not be the same without Say.

daventry

So just to clarify, is 3 Chapters of TSL now dead and gone.

koko_99_2001

I don't believe that's ever been said.

Well since Say is gone, it looks like we will maybe just maybe see the 3 Chapters in 2020.  ???

An entirely unwarranted extrapolation from the data. Say was in charge of PR, not production. Her actions AFAIK did not further actual production an iota. Therefore, her departure does not effect production, and this should not change the release data at all.

It does more or less destroy PR. It would be a good guess that we will not be seeing any more interviews or previews on Gamespy. That is what Say did, and that is what her loss will prevent the team from doing. However, it is elementary that PR does not equal, or even greatly effect, production. ;)

koko_99_2001

I agree with Petra. While Say was AMAZING at her job, PR and production are two different fields. Thus, her being gone has no affect on when the games are coming out.

Yes, beernutts, I believe we're all aware of how you feel about this project so just knock it off already, okay?

That was a typo, it was supposed to be release date:-[

Jen, I was born in 82 also so I know exactly what you're talking about with those 80s shows.  ::Coughs:: Knight Rider  ::Coughs::  Power to the 80s people!

The release date of at least Chapter 1 is DEFINITELY happening. That much I guarantee, mainly because of the fannatic contest. (And no, I'm not telling. I will say that it means that Shadows is a DEFINITE!!!) As for the other two chapters (The Two That Are One, and Eternities in that order) I cannot say for sure what will become of them, mainly because production so far as I know hasn't really been focused on them. Shadows has been the main focus, and Shadows is a Will Be. I can probably safely say that chapters 2 and 3 are still Will Be's, considering this dedicated team. And who knows: You may even get a chance to help MAKE the games  ;)... All you gotta do is apply, and see what happens from there... And as for PR, 'tis true it shall never be what it once was, but I know that there are places that would gladly publish interviews with the team (AKA MY WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!! XD). So, all in all, don't get down about TSL. A positive attitude inspires this team! If you're happy, then they are too! YOU are the ones that can help TSL come out, and so your attitudes greatly impact how TSL is done. If you stay positive, you'll be greatly rewarded. Trust me on this...

You want to see some of the passion from say?  Check out these old posts of mine where she went berserk on me:
http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=135.0

Anyway, that was 4 1/2 years ago.  I still lurk every once in a while here just to see if the project has moved anywhere.  I did want to comment on this:

QuoteIt's our fault to have tried to reach the stars. It's our fault to have tried to do something so blown out of proportions and that we weren't able to deliver. It is our fault we've missed deadlines.

Cesar said that, and it was what I had been saying from day 1.  If you look at my previous posts, you'll notice I started believe this project wouldn't get finished.  I said it was too big, and too much to under-take by an amateur team.

If my posts had been given some credibility instead of just being blasted and swept under the rug, you'd have known what I was saying was very relevant.

Then came the decision to just release the 1st 3rd of the game.  Yet, here we are, still waiting on something.

As I always end my posts here, I hope the team finishes this game (at least the 1st part), I'd like to play it, but, it seems to me, the writing's on the wall.  Good luck guys.

I don't usually listen to post that gives just a pessimistic statement without offering any solutions, which is exactly why I've always considered you a troll of sorts. If you are here to state that this game will never get finished, but keep on coming back year after year, that, in itself is a contradiction. If you want to be proven wrong is because somehow you'll believe you will be proven wrong. Otherwise we wouldn't have heard from you since about 3 years ago.

Now, yes, I did state that this project was more than we could undertake, but somehow we've managed to create something really amazing and that I'm really proud of. The last three months, since I moved to the Albany area, and can now meet with Richard and Michael and Neil at least once a month for overly long periods of times (at least Rich and I, since he's not working), I can now say that this project is reaching a conclusion and is looking better than ever.

If we don't appear publicly anymore or you don't hear from us a lot is because we decided to go quiet. This project will never be everything we wanted it to be, but it'll become something in people's hearts. I *could* reallistically say now that we are months away from a release, but because we never know what happens tomorrow, I'm not going to confim such an statement.

Something will come out of all of this. I told you guys we owe you, and we will commit, even if we are all aching to move on to the new project.

*opps*

*wonders what new project is* NOW I'm interested... But Cesar is right. Going quiet isn't neccesarily a bad thing. It could allow for more development time...

I kinda feel bad that I let Wacky Heroes slip.  I bet I probably have the last unfinished strip lying around somewhere, as well as in my brain.

But I know this is several months late, but I am saddened that Say left - she really was a lot of fun on the forum back in the day when I was more active, and great in her PR position.

I do look forward to seeing how the project pans out still though - you go, TSL Team!

Wow....how did I miss this?  I'm sorry that this is so incredibly late and all.

Well, I didn't know you well Say.  In fact, I don't know if we even ever talked.  (Maybe twice at the most.)  Even so, I knew OF you and how incredibly integral you were to this project.  And, even on the forums, it seemed like you were always there.

I'm sorry that you left, and I'm sorry that this is so late.  (After all, you'll probably never even get this.)  But, goodbye nonetheless.
