So yep, it's coming on Christmas day. That'll be the best christmas gift ever. And it's the only gift that'll contain a surprise for me (I know all my other gifts. My mom orders directly off of my list lol)

I really do wonder about the single real unknown in the equation; namely how long it would take Vivendi to approve the final product. At any rate, I'm sure building a solid foundation now makes it much easier to finish the last two parts of the nine chapters.

When people started speculating that Shadows (Ch. 1 & 2) would be released in December or January, I knew that wasn't realistic, but I didn't want to say anything (and it wasn't my place to say anything). I feel that May is a very realistic goal, though. There are still some things that need to be fixed or added, but the game is quite playable at this point. A lot of the outstanding issues are relatively trivial - things like the spoken narration not quite matching the captions.

Of course, once it's released, I won't have occasion to use

anymore!

It will be worth it when everyone sees how awesome the game is (not to mention silencing all those people who say nothing will ever be released)!

Oh - also, I wanted to say what a HUGE priviledge it is to work with the team!

To be entirely realistic, there will still be a LOT of people who will say it will never be released. They'll say the momentum is done and parts 2 and 3 won't be released.

Irrespective to that though, it's AWESOME to see how much the game has progressed and how little time is left before Shadows is done!

Yea, this will be great, I have lots of confidence in this project, despite it taking so long. I know it takes long to make a game, especially if no one gets paid/works full time.

Thank you all so much for the update and the hard work.

I believe when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains.

In this case, we all left King's Quest behind many years ago, the memories and love for a simple pixalated adventure always remain with us ... but part of us remained with King's Quest ...

It drew in a few foolishly optimistic developers and amateur artists... who simply believed against all adversity that they could bring a memory of a dream back to life.

Now we see it living and breathing again ... Daventry, and all of its friends will come back.
