I was SO confused when my name randomly appeared in peach... XD

But the teal is so pretty! I have new things to shoot for! XD

And for the record, I like the non-American spellings. It makes everything seem more formal and interesting. XD

XD

That's the one advantage to being the Web Director and being Canadian.  Everything I write stays in Canadian English. :P

On top of which, Canadian English follows the rules more closely of British English (helps we have the same monarch!), so it means that I can actually understand what you're saying!

LOL!  American English isn't that different from ours. XB  But yeah, I know what you mean.  When I read American websites and spot all the missing u's, it does get a bit distracting. ;P

Haids1987

That's so funny, 'cause it's the opposite over here in America.  We see all the extra "u"'s and we're all, "My fav-OO-rite col-OOr is pink," or what have you.  You Canadians and Brits are fun to tease. ;)

The reason Americans don't use those extra "u"s is -- and this is known only by a few individuals and if I disappear it's because they found out I told you -- the "u"s are being collected for use in a top secret weapon called the DOUM RAY! It's going to be used to eradicate murses -- and as such all American support its existence and help by using as few "u"s as possible! :P

Right, it was only our second most top secret secret... of secretive secretness! (I just had to throw a few more secrets in there. :P)

LEAVE THE MURSES ALONE!  You realise that I will just have to get more if you hurt the ones in existence already, right?  In fact...  I'll bring back this icon just for you, Questie! <3

And yes, I am indeed British (probably less common knowledge than it was way back when!), and flattered that Yonkey remembers what I sound like!

And I wonder if Canadian and American English are similar because you live next door to one another?  I know that British English isn't TOO different, but there are certainly some weird things I picked up that I didn't understand and probably vice versa!

Gosh, it's been a couple years since I talked to Neil, but I tend to remember him not having THAT strong of an accent, as opposed to when I would talk to Kimmie or Alex.

Yeah, I don't think I have an accent.  Well, nothing that sounds like a stereotypical Canadian one anyway. :P

Back when you weren't on the forum (so it was just your old posts and old avatar), I always used to envision you as a somewhat crazy oriental lady who carried a man-purse (to give away) and thought she was Roberta. XD
