Hmmm, 4, 6, and 7 were always my favorites to play...
I agree that 4 and 6 are hard to compare because of the huge jump in technology/technique. I found the story and elements (and main character) of 4 interesting, engaging, and full of imagination. 6 was simply more immersive, though, and I think the puzzles were deeper and more fun. Interestingly, as far as the love interests go, I found Edgar MUCH more interesting than Cassima. I find myself wondering what would have happened if Rosella HAD been forced to marry Edgar and have Lolotte as a mother-in-law.

Would be interesting to see how that could have had a good ending. Might make a nice AU fic, eh?
KQ7 I find also difficult to compare, because it was so much more a play-the-character *story* and while the puzzles were amusing, they weren't difficult at all.
