I'm currently reading the oh-so-exciting Hospital Outpatient Department Spring 2008 Training Companion (for work). :P

Also, it doesn't take much to be > Frodo. Ugh :P

It's funny how you find you enjoy your life when you're happy to be alive.

Well, I don't think most people like Frodo, really.
It's just that he gets matched up with Shea in idiot SoS\LotR comparisons, cause they both have the role of "Guy who goes on the quest", and Frodo's just...not a likable character. :P

Oh, and I agree about the Allannon > Book Gandalf thing...but that's mostly cause I don't remember much of Book Gandalf, and Allanon was really, really awesome. XD

I read The Curious Case of Benjamin Button the other day. I'd like to know how his mother gave birth to a full grown man? ???

Steve Abbott | Beta Tester | The Silver Lining

Elessar

I haven't read that for a long time, so I don't even remember him being born as a grown man.

I've currently re-reading The Hobbit as part of my annual reading of The Hobbit & LotR
All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not touched by the frost

From the ashes a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
The crownless again shall be king

Me too, but it's fiction, y'know :P Also, old people are relatively small, and if you look at the previews for the movie, you can see that Brad Pitt after just being born is really really small too :) Not as small as a baby, but certainly not a full grown man.

Can't wait to see that movie. Last time Brad Pitt worked with that director they made Fight Club, a fantastic movie...And before that, Se7en, another really good one!

I just finished re-reading Narnia a few weeks ago.  I always cry my eyes out when I read The Last Battle, so whenever I finish the chronicles I have to take a week or two to recover before I start something else.   ;]

Man, I've not gotten the Narnia books yet, so I've not read them. Erik has the series so I think I'll hold out until I can borrow them from him.

Started rereading the books of the Sword of Truth series while in NZ. (Ended up buying the third and fourth books while I was over there for the equivalent of about $17 US dollars each since I blew through the first two I had brought way faster than I thought I would :P )

On the fifth now, and 6 more after. :D

Just finished re-reading The Guns of the South by Harry Turtledove(in which the Confederacy wins the Civil War thanks to men from the future giving them AK-47s), since I hadn't read is since he introduced me to alternate history all those years ago.
I'm now reading the graphic novel 1602 by Neil Gaiman, which is about famous Marvel heroes in Elizabethean England instead of the 20th century.

I'm currently reading John Lennon: The Life, a rather extensive biography on John. If you're a huge John Lennon fan like myself, I recommend it. You'll learn a lot of things you probably didn't know about him.

Also I'm currently reading The Crystal Shard to my wife.... :)
