It's pretty easy to be when it's obviously not the plot.   Anyone that has played the TSL Demo would know how the game starts, and this is clearly not it.  Even the beta testers know the entire introduction sequences, and the events described never happen at any point in the game. 

As I said before, this may have been a very early draft of the plot in 2002, but when I read the plot in 2003, it looked absolutely nothing like this.

It's quite a struggle to read, but if you can get through it, you'll be much better at understanding the way some people write... Internet speak still confuses me...

The Shadows beta is only the first two chapters right? Is that

Chapter 1: Such stuff as Dreams are made of

and

Chapter 2: Goodnight Sweet King ?

How many chapters are going to be in the final release of "Shadows"?

I think there are 3 chapters in the final release (I could be very wrong, and I probably am...). And the beta that the testers get is the full game, though they don't get it all at once. From what I remember hearing, there are different revisions. After a certain amount of bugs have been fixed in a particular section, a new revision is released which includes all the bugs to date. I think with some of the revisions they open up new areas for the testers to test. I don't believe they give them the entire game at once, but instead opt to slowly release it to them, so to make it easier to get bugs. But I'm not a beta-tester, nor am I on the team in any way (unless you count being the admin of the official TSL Facebook group...) so I wouldn't know for sure... And where did you find the titles of the first two chapters? I honestly have no idea where to find those... ROFLOL...

That's correct. When the first part of the game is released, they will only be giving out the first two chapters, although technically Shadows is comprised of three. So you won't be getting all of Shadows yet.

Soooo... I wonder if this was the plot released by a disgruntled ex-team member, as Yonkey mentioned in Journal Special Entry #12? He said they had to rewrite it after that.

Yup, it is.  I wasn't on the team when the leak happened, but based on the date inside the post (2002), it seems about right.

If the "Trilogy" is not going to be done as planned, why not change the Trilogy section of the website, and remove mention of "Shadows" as part 1?
