The Left Handed Alliance of Left Handed People!

I created this thread for lefties to congregate and discuss to their hearts content. No topic is off limits! No righties allowed! (well, unless the mods want me to change that. I'll comply with whatever rules they set forth.) In order to post in this thread, your sig must mention that you are left handed.

So, without further Ado, welcome to The Left Handed Alliance of Left Handed People (Or LHALHP for short... I may want to change the name of this thread to make a better abbreviation lol... Any suggestions?)!

I like that. Any other suggestions? I was also thinking we could create a logo at some point. And create ranks and postiions. I can handle the logo most likely... I've got three places to use photoshop, and I'm not too bad at it...

lol I should. Ok, so here's what we have for suggestions.

Names:

1. Left Handed Alliance of Left Handed People

2. Rights for Lefties

Ranks:

1. Righty

2. Ambidextrous

3. Lefty

We need more!

It's not the size of the Alliance that matters, but the size of our awesomeness. Which we are totally awesome...

As for more girls, yeah, we do need more girls. Although I was thinking we should open this group up to Righties and giving them one of the new ranks I came up with. I came up with Honorary Lefty and a few others. Like we could have righties that side with us and think we should get more notice in the world or something.

Ooh that's good lol. Teaching them to write with their left hand is cool. I have horrible hand-writing, and my math teacher from last year thought I was confused as to what hand was my dominant. So to humor her I wrote with my right hand on the white board, and it came out quite worse than my left. So I proved to her I was a lefty... We should require that all righties use a white board at least once a day to practice writing with their left hand... If we have to cut off their right hand, we should use the Sacred Blade of The Almighty Lefty.

Lol, thats a funny story Dark-daventry, and your right (left), the almighty blade of the lefty should be used for amputating right hands lol. Although, i am guilty here.... i play guitar right handedly (but i play bass left handedly, hmmmm).

I'm not the one that came up with it, but it is rather cruel. I'd opt to just go with learning to write with left hand... And I suppose I will now have to open the group up to Righty's...

I think there are certain things that we're just trained to do with a certain hand (although why is it always the right hand? lol). When I'm at work using my box cutter (I stock shelves when I'm not doing homework or at school...) I always use the left handed one (the left handed one is red, and the right handed one is green, so it's easy to distinguish.), but I sometimes use it in my right hand. Like when I need to cut the plastic or tape off a box, I'll switch hands to get one angle... Kinda weird lol. And I don't even remember what hand I use to stock milk with...

Lol, i had to use right handed scissors once because we ran out of left handed ones in my history class, safe to say, it did not end happily.

I'm not a lefty, but I find it's much easier to open bottles of soda and such with my left hand.
Also, I have leftiness in my blood...my two younger siblings are both left handed.

And atec, you need not ask to join this alliance, as long as you are naturally a lefty. Only those who are not natural lefties must ask for entry, and they'll pretty much all be accepted.
