What is with LOTR fans ignoring Faramir?
I mean he is one, gorgeous, serious darling of a guy!

Every Movie Mag or TV review I can get my hands on never has an interview with David Wenham as Faramir....and you just try to get a poster or movie bookmark with him on it...it is enrageing! :'( :'( :'(

Plenty of Legolas (Bloom), Frodo...even Aragorn and Gimli but no....Frick'n Faramir!!!!!!!!!
Why did he have to catch my eye!?
Anyway I know David Wenham is a little um "too mature" to be put on latest hottie list like Wood, Orlando Bloom, etc...but can't anyone agree he's great?
I went to one of the few sights on the net to look him up and in his younger days....he just is sooooo.......(you know)
You just fall in love with Faramir
"What was it when I looked at you?
What power has chained me through and through?..."
Guess where that came from! All you KQies

Well, er, my cousin liked Boromir...

Legolas... blech, girly pretty boys were never really my type. And all those Aragorn-esque warrior guys with long unkempt hair... blech, and they all sorta blend together to me, too.

Now, Sam, on the other hand... *there's* a cutie. Merry and Pippin might be cute too, were it not for the fact that I can never keep track of which is which.

Um, I'm not helping, am I?

Peace & Luv, Liz

I love Aragorn, and I even like the actor perse so much more in real life, he has an art gallery where he displays his work, he has this huge green place with horses and stuff, I dont know I think that guy in particular its just goddamn gorgeous as aragorn or as himself :p

Ehh. I like Cate Blanchett better as an elf. Galadriel, cool. :)

But personally I was always very fond of Eowyn both in the movies (actress: Miranda Otto) and the books. Never was very big on Arwen.

Well, thank you for the welcome.
Y'all make a girl feel special  ;D

I'm just kidding about the orcs. They are really amazingly ugly, especially in ROTK. eeeyuck.

The orc and the girl? Are you sure you don't mean the Nazgul and the girl, Yonkey? That one did rock. A few people in the theater cheered and applauded. ;D But I always dug Eowyn, anyway. Maybe we should make a ROTK spoiler thread?

During that part, there was this guy behind me in the theater who yelled out "You go girl!"

I'm quoting myself. That has to break some law somewhere...

Anyhoo. Well, this movie certainly helped in telling them apart. And Pippin's sad bit of singing definitely clinched it. I've always been a sucker for a musician. The insatiable (and dangerous) curiousity is something I can empathize with, as well. Sorry, Merry, you wouldn't have liked me anyway. ;D

Speaking of debating cuteness, I found this essay quite fun:

Oh, and the line, Say, is... "I am no man!" :D

N.B - please judge me not on the horrendous display of superficiality I am about to display!!

My list and opinions:

Orlando Bloom - HOT.  Elf or no. Preferrably with pointy ears, or as a pirate. Either way, HOT.

Viggo  - also hot, but only as Aragorn, IMNSHO.

Frodo/Elijah-  adorable! Good-looking. Totally a take home to mom kinda guy.

Sam - also so cute!! Aww. Sean Astin. Totally loveable. Had his daughter with him on an awards show....so cute!! And as Sam, Sam...oh man. Best friend you could ever have. The true hero of the triology. Holla for Sam, yo.

Pippin & Merry - also cute/good-looking. :)  And British! Yay!

Faramir - I agree, he is good-looking, more so than Boromir I'd say!

Arwen - pretty, but Eowyn kicks some serious ass. "I am no man." AWESOME. Was slightly let down that her storyline in the third installment was not *quite* followed exactly or as much....hoping for Special Edition to take care of that.

Okay...I am done being horrendously superficial!!  ;D

Aren't they called Nazgyl? At least that's how it's spelled in the book. 8)

It's possible... it's been quite some time since I read the books, so I guessed at the phonetic spelling. It's not my fault that Tolkien decided to throw all those weird letter combinations in there. ;)

KatieHal

No, it is spelt Nazgul, though there's an accent over the u, I believe.

Nazgùl then? Or was the accent the other way around (a 'u' with that accent is not on my keyboard and I don't know the correct ASCII code, although I could probably look it up)? 8)

(a 'u' with that accent is not on my keyboard and I don't know the correct ASCII code, although I could probably look it up)

My friend has a keyboard that can put the accents on letters by pressing the apostrophe key and then the letter she wants to have an accent. I don't know exactly how to make it go to the right or the left or whatever. It gets to be a major problem when she's trying to use contractions and the word "she's" ends up looking like "shés"

Yonkey

You can do that in MS Word (and MSN Messenger too) by holding down CTRL while pressing the apostrophy.   ;D
