Here, i just thought of this, here;s what you do:
I start 3 conversations, like this:
1) 1st conversation
2) 2nd conversation
3) 3rd  conversation

and we continue them, and ifi you want, you can add conversations, eatch time you post, you must say something in all conversations, and every 6th page, we re-start the game with 3 new conversations, so, let's get going:

1) Don't you love scrooling things?2) I think KQ5 is the best KQ game!
3) UBUNTU ROCKS!!!

NEW RULE: You can also remove conversations, but only do so if the conversation is ended.

1) Scrooling things are awesome! :D As is our own little dialect we have here at TSL... fopmuffin! crugs! scrooling! XD XD XD

2) KQ3 ftw! Especially the remake.

3) ?

atec123

1) yeah, this place really is funny, I wish I'd been here sooner, at least I was here for (and in fact started) scrooling things lol

2) I dunno, KQ3 was good, but I still love KQ5, possibly cause it was the first I played.

3) Ubuntu is a popular linux distro, the site is http://ubuntu.com

1) Yep, wish I'd found this place from the start. Crugs and fopmuffin were both before my time, and they don't show up much anymore.

2) KQ7 was the first one I played (and the only one I had ever even seen until a few years ago), but I love KQ3 cause it has Alexander. <3

3) Ah. Don't know anything about Linux, really. Probably will next semester though when I take Computer Systems.

Yonkey

1) I'm not quite sure about the origin of crugs either. :P  All I remember was Jafar seeing a bunch of colours and hallucinating me in them for some reason. XD  Fopmuffin's another one that I never quite got, but I think Rosella started it. :P

2) KQ6 is definitely my all-time fave

3) Is Ubuntu the most popular one?  I once wanted to install Linux ages ago, but at the time nothing was really that user-friendly.  Is Ubuntu as easy to install as Windows?

1) Oh, I can answer that first one. Crugs came from a typo someone made...don't remember EXACTLY who it was, but I think it was either LN or Vipt. The thing about seeing Neil spinning in the colors came from that trippy flash animation LN made that featured...Neil spinning in the colours. XD

2) 6 was a brilliant game...the only thing that bugs me about it though...the cursors cycle through WALK HAND EYE etc. instead of WALK EYE HAND etc. Am I the only one who was bothered by that? :P

3. Well...I just know that the penguins give me the creeps. XD

atec123

1) I like fopmuffin, it sounds funny XD  I also like scrooling, and chessy. I havent been here long, and already lotsa memories!!

2) KQ6 was REALLY awesome, and, as a game it was better, but I like KQ5, just cause of all the great memories, you know?

3) Ubuntu I think is the most popular.  in my mind, it's sure the best!  They have a great support forum, it works with Wine to run windows programs, it's user friendly, (though a small ajustment from Windows) and cool.

4) I like turtles lol!

1. Fopmuffin does sound funny! I don't think I've heard that one outside this thread.

2. I don't remember which KQ I played first. My first Sierra game was Space Quest 1 (the original, not the remake). The first I was of King's Quest was in that game when you press Don't Touch in the shuttle and land in the moat around Castle Daventry. I think TSL is my faforite! :D

3. I haven't used any of the Linux versions. Hopefully, they're a LOT more user friendly than Unix! XD

4. I prefer cats!

1. Jafar: you're alive! XD
Atec: lol for some reason I thought "chessy" was what Tessy's version of chess or something.  :P
Snabbott: But have you heard it outside of TSL? o_O

2. Speaking of TSL, I just checked and we cycle WALK EYE HAND etc.  That seems like it makes the most sense, since that's generally the order of most used cursors to least.  Unless, of course, you're trying to pixel hunt with the HAND everywhere. XB

3. I think once TSL's out I'll try installing some additional operating systems.  Ubuntu for one, but I'd also like to try out Windows 7.

4. I like turtles ...chocolate. :P  But yeah, I prefer cats as well. XD

Rosella's definition of fopmuffin on urban dictionary:

"A completely awesome word that should be used by every single person in everyday conversation. A combination of the words "fop" and "muffin," it does NOT refer to a muffin who acts British. In a certain poor quality dictionary, the word foppish was defined as "of, or relating to, a fop." The word "fop" was not present in said dictionary. Though the word originated as a censor to a certain other word that begins with f, its use is almost unlimited! "

XD

2. No, you're not Jafar. I was watching hercrabbiness's play through of KQ6 yesterday and she complained about that as well.

3. Windows 7 should be interesting.

4. I have a turtle named Quasimodo; he's a plastic pool toy. Long story. :P

atec123

1) LOL is that really in there?  that's awesome!!

2) I have never cared, actually, I may be only one of the people who liked that! XD

3) I'd run it, but my compouter sucks. :P

4) lol, I don't have a turtle, I was talking about that youtube vid, anyone seen it?

1) Heh. I need to catch up on the  forum stories i see. i can see the proud signature, i'm checking that now.
2) Hmmm my top favourite? I love them all. I liked KQ 4, I love the new remakes and i liked both 6 and 7. Truth be told I forget what is in number 5 as i haven't played the series in a while. I will need to get back to numbers 3,4,5 and 6 pretty soonn. As for no 7, the cartoony feel was cute. But I believe the tsl is likely to become my number 1.
3) I don't trust new windows. Every new windows is worse. I think I will stick to xp. and ubuntu/linux isn't bug free either. i would use it for security but you know..it all depends on how you view security.
4) I believe there is a considerable number of turtle videos on youtube. I assume you are referring to something that has been mentioned sometime earlier? I love dogs most, anyway and I have two myself.
5.) movie or book?

2) best kQs (in order best to worst though all are good.) kq5, kq6, kq3, kq4, kq7, kq1, kq2

3) ubbuntu is good for me, thank you.

4) I like cats better

5) book, usually

1) There were a few other famous words from the past: elde, XD (although that one's still used quite a bit :P), omgwtf, killer monkeys... oh, and of course the :suffer: ! :P

2) That's probably the same order I would use... but I'd also add MoE after kq2. XB

3) I think I'm actually going to install Ubuntu soon, dual booting with XP.  But, I'm going to buy a book on it first, just in case I run into issues and completely screw over my computer. :P

4) Has anyone actually posted the link to this turtle Youtube video yet?

5) I'm more of a movie guy, myself.
"A wish changes nothing. A decision changes everything."

atec123

1) I though XD was common, omgwtf is say's thing (was) right?   :suffer: duh.

2) yeah, lol, forgot a bout moe as a kq game.

3) good idear, its 99.99897 percent awesome!

4) now they have.  *cough* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMNry4PE93Y *cough*

5) yeah, I like movies, but if it's a movie of a book, the book always wins. :P

1. omgwtf is common elswhere but the scrooling (I love it!!), crug and fopmuffin are hilarious and going to  my top favourite coinages.
2. I don't know..doesMoE even deserve to be in any classification?
3. I've got to try it sometime, then. Though I had problems with linu when i had it. It kept free9ing all the time. With windows at least i know what i;m doing..heh.
4. AHHH. Now you're talking.  rotfl. Robert McNamara comes to my mind: Never answer the question that is asked of you. Answer the question you wish had been asked of you.
5. I would agree with that statement, Atec. a 180 minute footgae will rarely ever do a good book justice.
6.That said, any favourite book adaptations you can think of?
I liked Lord of the rings trilogy, even though there were some missing scenes from the book i would like to have seen in the film. But it was well-done.

1) Haha I wish I hadn't missed so much of this forum's history, that fopmuffin and crug stuff sounds hilarious.

2) No MoE doesn't deserve KQ classification :P And my order of best to worst (although like atec said, none are BAD) is: KQVI, KQIV(Took me a long time, and played it with my mom and sis all the way through...First game of any kind I was involved in beating in fact), KQV(First game of any kind I beat by myself), KQVII, KQIII(Still never finished it though it's the first I played YEARS ago), KQII, KQI

3)I've never used anything but Dos or Windows, know nothing about Linux

4) I'd watch that video if I were to be on a computer that isn't dialup :P But my favorite turtles are NINJA Turtles, and I LOVE cats :)

5) Generally I like the book better. But sometimes I watch the movie if it's based on a book FIRST so I don't spoil the movie in case I don't have time to read the book for awhile.

6) I believe the best books to movies I've seen are LotR, Fight Club(which I actually found better than the book anyway) and the first two Harry Potters (I like the other movies, but the first two are closest to the books since way less is cut out) Oh and The Rules of Attraction is a movie I LOVE based on a book...but I have yet to read the book as of yet :P

1.There is more and quote a lot to dig through. I'm sure it's stuff of memories for those who created the history.
2. Hehehe, so i thought. KQ4 i hardly remember now- as it was one i played, decided the story was nice and the character too- and liked it but put it away due to eye-sore. the old graphics were kind of hard on the eye.  I think of the original vga games part 5 was my favourite anyway. And then KQ6. I loved KQ7 The recent remakes are an altogether different story-i really enjoy them.
3. i haven't used dos in a good few years-although in emergency situations it comes in extremely handy.
4. I can't think of nothing else to add to this conversation except that every small animal, cat or dog or turtle, is cute.
5. Ah yes. That usually is a good strategy. I don't and sometimes it ends with a low mark of the film, even if it isn't necessarily bad.
6. Sometimes there are just too many shortcuts.
7.What is the most challenging adventure game you ever played?
Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.

Yonkey

Since we're adding conversations, I think I'll modify the rules so that we can remove conversations as well.  Particularly the ones where we've reached an end. :P

2. I still haven't played KQ4 completely through yet.  It's yet another thing on my list of things to do, after TSL. :P

3. I haven't used DOS in ages... The UNIX shell I tend to use somewhat often though, to access TSL's VPS server whenever I need to upgrade Redmine or something.  It's pretty similar to DOS, in my opinion.

6. I've always felt that movie-adaptations will never be able to capture everything written in the book.  But then again, I don't usually read books, so I'm not one to complain. :P  I know there are some movies that they do take extreme attention to detail.

7. Hmm... I actually haven't played that many adventure games, so it's tough to say.  I think I found KQ5 pretty tough, due to its dead-ends.
"A wish changes nothing. A decision changes everything."

atec123

Ok, that;s good. I came up with the game really fast, so it wasn't well planned rule-wise. :P

2) I have played KQ4, but not as much as other ones, so I haven't beaten it more than like 5 (ish) times

3) I use the Various linux/UNIX terminals, and they are a bit like DOS, though especially the UNIX shell.

6) Yeah, sometimes it sucks, how bad movies can be percived from a book, like eragon, the people who didn't read it LOVED the movie, but the poeple who read it hated it.

7) I would have to say Riddle Of The Sphinx.
