Slightly off-white would prolly work better. I also find that bright-whiteness is hard on the eyes. Truth be told, that's the only part of the old design I didn't like... it was too pure white.

LOL, omg, no offense to justine gosine, but I very much so happen to disagree big time. Im going to save my personal comments on this matter, lol. All I can say atm is that it worked for a while but we had to move on.

Yeah, I found the white a little too distracting as well.  This light grey is a lot easier on the eyes.

Im not lecturing anyone neither I pretend to teach web dynamics over here, Im static real facts you simply dont know.

About my personal opinions on that matter, Im going to save them, but the point is I did say I didnt like the previous design for the following reasons:

1.- It didnt represent the game or the feeling of the game.

2.- It was bad organized.

3.- It had no supportive effort whatsoever you dont do a site to leave it wonder forever alone.

Im not going to enter details on this since I dont believe I should, as I see everyone who codes and who does web things have a really different perspective on the matter either subjective or objetive.

All I can add to this, which was my point before, it was a project studied beyond personal matters and it has a point to it based on the facts and records PR handle which obviously reflects on the main goals and visions of the game as well as the development team, since PR handle third parties related to us. So when we act its because we have a need.

I have to agree with you on that one - it looked more like a fan site for the entire series than one dedicated to the creation of a new game  

Now that I think about it, I do have one small gripe, or quirk, at any rate... the current design is very "techie" looking... which is sort of odd at a site for a fantasy game. This is the sort of design I'd expect to see for an SF game...
...I'd have expected something a little more "rustic" looking... or maybe sort of "palatial" looking.

2 - I can see your point about the more tech feel than fantasy feel, but yeah, it does now feel more like a webpage for a game than a webpage by a fan of a series. But also, it's more like..updated fantasy. The paneling is wood, the buttons are like gems...it's a "psuedo-techie" perhaps.
