I dont hate it, I just dont care for the games on it. Plus, Id need a consol system to be compatible with my PC monitor via a PS/PS2 screen cable since I dont have a TV. Plus Im much to cheap to buy more than one system every 5 yrs. In other words, the next consol system on my list to get is PS2.   8)

I don't debate, I ramble with STYLE!

Racx.  Get Gamecube + Animal Crossing.  Now.
Animal Crossing isnt in Australia, or atleast South Australia ; (

BTW in Australia you can only get Black or Purple Gamecubes :'(

uhhhhh sorry jason but your wrong about animal crossing. It was released in AUS nearly 9 months before it was released in europe (actually i dunno if it WAS released in europe, mines the US copy!) so hunt down a copy and get playing. I wish I could get an xbox, there's so many games I wanna play on it but theyre still £110 here so thats not going to happen for a looong time.

One day, the PC will emulate all consoles!!  :suffer:

Drunken Chinchilla

Yeah and the only way to play the games will be to pirate them! The main appeal of consoles is that they're so much easier to use and there's very little that can go wrong with them compared to PCs.

Hay Folks! I just got Sarah (my GF) a PS2 for her birthday... I'm more of a Mac and PC gamer myself but she like head-to-head play... thus we have Sony lovn' at my house!  ;D

*heads off to learn how to play PS2*

Not with the new consoles. I can just put a PSX1/PSX2/Xbox CD/DVD into my drive.

What's the fun in that? Besides, I prefer updated graphics/sound/features. You can already play a couple of PSX games, with Pixel/Vertex shaders.

P.S. Yes, I have some early Xbox/PS2 emulation programs.

YAY! Get Devil May Cry (1 not 2, 2 was an awful mark on the franchise) and kick some demon ass! What kinda games did you buy it to play?

The fun of that is that you don't have to faff around for hours and spend £100's to get the game to look like how the creators wanted it to look like! Theres no crashing (unless its been poorly tested etc), no unsuported graphic cards, OS, controllers etc its just an overall better and less stressful expereince.

Oh and about being able to play the games without pirating, thats all very well for this generation of consoles (except Gamecubes cute mini DVDs  <3) but AFAIK all three console producers are creating their own format of media for games to be written on to try and attempt to cut down on piracy thats causing loads of games companies to go bust.

I'll just use my PC, despite the difficulty with emulation.

Besides, who wouldn't like to play their PSX games over the internet?

*wait's for Xbox emulator to be capable of playing Xbox games*
