What's the format of the music going to be, midi or something like mp3?

It's MP3 - you can get some samples of the game music on this sites media section (really good!)

Yeah I know  I was listening to those a few days ago, they are pretty good!

It's good that they're sticking with mp3 format, this way everyone will hear the music the same, despite the sound card.

it may end not being mp3, but either way, it's a close variation So, yes, the music will be the same in every sound card.
