I'm not quite sure how you'd do either... for Speech, doublecheck the regular game setup (you can set the setup exe in the profile of the game). Fullscreen is alt+enter, but it doesn't stretch to fit the screen...

Got it to stretch to full screen. Now I've just got to figure out the speech. I looked in the game's menu's, but there wasn't anything there to turn speech on/off.

Try running the install program in Dosbox and setting up the sound from there.

is there anyway to save the games onto the hard drive?  It always says i don't have enough memory and need to change directories, but it never lets me change to a new directory

That's odd... I've had that problem before but it was easily fixed...

Try checking the game's settings file, it probably stores the save directory name in there.

It is possible to play both KQ5 and KQ6 on Windows XP, as I have completed both games on that platform.

Both the text version and the speech version of KQ5 play on XP without the use of any utility program.  The text (MS DOS) version plays just as is.  In order to play the speech (Windows) version, you have to set the color depth of your monitor to 256 colors and set the resolution to the lowest possible.

In order to get KQ6 to work under XP, I had to use the VMSound utility.  Even so, I had to play the game in text mode, since, in speech mode, the speech only came out very sporadically.

Considering the above, I doubt that anyone would remake either KQ5 or KQ6.  However, TSL has enough material in it for a 3D remake of KQ6 and some of the other games as well.  That would be very nice.

Blarg! I can't remember where I went to find that stuff out! I know that I have them now and that you needed to make a .bat file! I didn't use any emulator (Except VDS Sound or whatever it's called) to play KQ5/6 on XP. I think it's this website... You'll definitely have to do some searching though.
