Just had to visit to say CONGRATULATIONS to the team and everyone who's supported them in the long, dark struggle.

This is a true moment of VICTORY for genuine gamers everywhere, and dare I say, for decent, creative, dedicated fans everywhere. For every great project shut down without cause, for everyone hit with a lawsuit rather than hired for their dedication and creativity, for every profit-driven asshat corporate giant squeezing out one more bland and uninspired sequel in name only... this one's in the win column for US!

Again, congratulations, guys and gals... although a "lurker" over all these years (right from the start, believe it or not!) I honestly never thought you'd make it to the finish line with such massive hurdles. Damn fine show proving me very, very wrong... I'm grinning like a loon just typing this, I'm that happy for you all.

Sure, us KQ/TSL fans will get to play a great adventure game (and for free; foolish Activision/Vivendi: I'd have gladly paid for this!), but the REAL reward is for the creative team, who's hard work will stand out there forever. You can't UNrelease a game once it's out, and I look forward to TSL being immortal online forever, a testament to what fans can do if they "never say die".

Oh... and hey, I sure don't mind waiting for episodes to be released, but make sure they come out before anything else happens! :P (j/k)

Someone once said "faith manages". You've all done far, far more than just "manage"... :)

Wow, Congratulations to the TSL team! Almost 10 years of hard work is almost finished. Kings Quest Nation is proud of you and thanks you immensely for all your hard work and dedication. WOOOOO!

First off, I wanted to thank you for saving me and my family for the second time, ...

King Graham of Daventry

I don't know about everyone else, but with as many times as I've completed KQ3 and KQ5, I'm pretty sure I've saved you and your family more than twice... ... ...or... do those not count because of all the times I watched you die hilariously? It's the deaths, isn't it? Well, glad that's cleared up.

there was this dude I was talking to via PMs a while ago (I think a couple days after the announcement.... so in march I guess.), and he thought the whole thing was a trick.  Like they weren't even working on a game, and when it comes near time to release it, they make up a problem.  a crazy claim, considering all that has happened.  lets just say if you were doing that, you would be evil geniuses.... seriously, that would take a lot to pull that off for 10 years.

I have a feeling that that was beernutts in disguise.......
:P

anyway, my thoughts still remain the same.  New forum=nice, but it still doesn't feel right.  I will get used to it though.

also why phpBB over SMF?

Darn! He nailed us. We spent ten years concocting an elaborate ruse, complete with screenshots, voice auditions, music composition, and a playable demo, just to officially pull off the great trick in the history of the world!
