I'm hearing impaired, if you find a way to make superb hearing aids that cost $15 a pop let me know!
They at least need to cover hearing aids in insurance policies, it hurtz the wallet when they cost like $1000-$2000 apiece nowadays.
Hey Oldbushie! I have a few questions for you, just b/c I'm interested in the stuff...PM me if you don't want to post it...but what type of HL do you have, what caused it, what is the severity of it...oh yeah, and what type of hearing aids do you use?
We have a girl in our major with a hearing loss and she talks about having to get ear molds every about 6 months. It's really interesting because we learn this stuff in class and then she gets to give us how it affects her.
Now, about me coming up with some cheap ones..don't know if I can

. I'm a long way from being able to do anything like that! I will admit, though, that I didn't know that insurance didn't cover hearing aids...however, I know that they will cover the majority of cochlear implants (but with those we're talking about 50,000-60,000 each!)
Anyway, thanks ahead of time for being so open!
