Gah, good grace to you, Cat.  Dealing with parents is the worst part of working with kids.  Not the temper tantrums, not the bodily fluids, not even flat-out defiance!  It's always the parents that make it the hardest. :(
No, those are the parts that make it hard *for* the parents! :P

Eeesh, it's always hard to be on a new medication.  My first month on Zoloft I couldn't sleep.  Literally, I was awake from eight in the morning to five in the morning.  I was running on three hours of sleep every night while trying to take morning classes at the community college as well.  I believe that's when I began drinking coffee again...

Anyway, it'll get better. I'm sorry that you're dealing with it, the in-between parts of your body adjusting to new meds really, REALLY sucks. :(

The good news is that the meeting went extremely well!

The bad news:
-gotta start testing the student ASAP because Mom wants it done at the end of the week (before Spring Break)
-have to cancel therapy with my other students in order to get it done :(

-listening to this (it's the story of ever so much of the "social" ::) interaction in my life in song form :) :P)

-being generally unproductive in terms of getting research done (kind of, sort of working on IDL code... more foruming and listening to music is happening than that tho')

-foruming
-thinking about the rest of the week: in no particular order, practice TKD competition Wed, all-day baking Thursday,  TKD Thursday, Itzacon bake-sale Friday, Capoeira Friday, TKD competition Saturday, helping at the front desk for Itzacon

-apparently going to this colloquium at 2 b/c I thought it was on really late last night and I couldn't go but now I can :D

Yeah - antidepressants are frustrating. It seems like it takes for them to start working fully and to get the dose right. It does get better, though. My mom was having SSRI withdrawal symptoms because they switched her meds. Of course, they didn't bother to tell her about withdrawal. >:(

Thanks for the concern y'all. I'm on Prozac 40 mg a day, but it doesn't make much of a difference. I've had it upped once already so I'm not sure if I should simply increase the dosage or change the medicine.

My experience has been that it takes about a month for a medication to reach full effect. (Frustrating, I know!) If it's been less than that, probably wait and see. All I can say is stay with it. I haven't had to change my meds in several years now. :)

Yeah, Snabbott's right, it takes a little while for your meds to start working.  I had to try three different times before I found the right fit for me.  Just keep your doctor updated. :)

She should, however, avoid water intoxication (an actual real thing).

If you guys tried the water here at my house, you wouldn't be able to stop drinking it either! ;)  Seriously, my neighborhood is on well water, and it's soooooooooo yummy.  It's sweet and clean-tasting.  (Plus, you know, I just love water in general. ::))  Mmmm.......gosh darn it, now I'm thirsty again!  ;D

Haids, it's time we had an intervention. Your water drinking is destroying your life, and it's hurting those closest to you. You just have to understand that - Haids, no! Put down the glass! :whip:
