These little ones are still too small to be outside so they sleep beside my bed so they can curl up on my hand at night.

Oh my gosh, waltz, I believe I have turned into a full-on puddle of raspberry Jell-O! You must really, really love animals.  I am sorry to hear about your losses, though, that's so hard.

When you said "the peeps" I thought you were referring to your family.  I was like, "Wait, do they share beds or something...?"

LOL. When referring to my friends I say my buds. I call them peeps because of the marshmallow peeps I get on Easter. Animals are the best thing. My little Guenevere will cry out because she wants to be picked up and Rapunzel loves to ride on my shoulder. Michaela is a free spirit, she does what she wants when she wants.

Isn't it amazing how even the smallest of creatures have their own personalities?  You're so right, waltz, animals are the best.

And sidebar--why don't we have a high-five emoticon? I give high fives all the time in real life, it feels like I should be able to online also!  When someone says something awesome it's just a reflex to raise my hand for a fiver!  Maybe I should bug Katie about it.

Katie is super busy with important things at the moment so I doubt that she has time, but it still never hurts to ask. 

I'll try to get an updated picture for you guys tomorrow, they have tripled in size and are curious as ever. Never believe for a second that any animal is dumb. You just can't apply human thinking to it, except for Annie, she is always planning something. My Daddy Rooster knows the word 'no' and even will not approach me until he has flapped his wing and I bow my head to him. Until then, it is bed time, the babies will be up at 3am so I need to sleep. -being done with the grading for the semester
-wanting to turn in the lab books and go home
-helping a friend write his term paper in Google docs (I'm providing realtime proofreading/corrections and suggestions on how to flesh out his ideas. I am not providing any content, etc.)

-thinking he and I should use Skype plus Google docs to work on our collaborations (the ones we never work on )

-being ridiculously busy forever: I need to get this cfitsio output method working for our radiative transfer code BUT tomorrow I have to go to Maynooth for an astrophysics research summit/conference, tonight I must make a lemon meringue pie b/c my roommate's parents are coming into town and she told them about it (also, lemon meringue pie.) as well as go to TKD and the TKD annual general meeting (wherein they elect officers, etc.)... at some point, I would like to play video games, kthxbai

Aw, Deloria, it'll be okay! It's a terrible decision to have to make, but it's a necessary one.  Just think on it and the answer will come.

I wasn't. I just wanted to be euthanised. I've actually never been happier, but I'm also in an unbelievable amount of pain.

Artificial coma. That's what I'd go with... but then my belenephobia makes me reason as follows:

"You want to put sharp pointy things where? Yeah, no, not while I'm awake."

"Oh, you want to give me a shot? Can I be anasthetized first? No? Then, no."
