So, and maybe I missed this, but what did folks dress up as for Halloween?

Our party is this coming Saturday, so I'll post my answer/pics after that :)

Also, where did the "Lork" nickname come from?

Look in the TSL Asylum thread. Specifically, pages 13 and 14 where they decide on the nickname, and also where Sir Cray gets a new title- The Mutton.

That boy has too many titles... Cray, Q, Questie, Sir Cray, The Mutton, Graham even... ::) Once upon a time, I said we should call him Cray-Q-estie b/c it incorporated all or most of them... but now he's gone and gotten more!! *grumbles*

I dressed as myself. :P My wife was a Care Bear (Smart Heart), my son was a train engineer, and my daughter was a "love bug" (no, not Herbie :P).

for my Pokemon Trainer outfit... I
Quotewanted
to do something a little more elaborate, like copy one of the protagonist's outfits closely. But, I decided against that because some of them have different hair styles than I did and I'm not good with hair. Plus, I always wear my yoga pants to save time in between classes and we can't wear shorts in there unfortunately for some reason.

So, all I ended up doing was tying my hair into a ponytail, sticking it throught the back of a baseball cap, and hefting my backpack with my yoga folder and book and heavy Alienware laptop (which is why it's so big) over my shoulders and stuck my Pokewalker on my hip (which I tried to get to work but failed for 20 something minutes, what am I doing wrong?!).

I was a Pokemn Trainer, specifically a Protagonist Backpacker!

I don't has plants.

Once, when I was little, I had a fake plant. Felt leaves. They curled up like it was dying.

I can't even keep plastic plants alive.

I had a really pretty orchid for the better part of the year, but my mother insisted I get rid of it because keeping them over winter is more hassle than they're worth. :(

Orchids are very difficult to keep at any time :P

Did you even take a photo of it, ever? My mom once bought one but it sure died during winter time too, it was such a shame because it was sooo expensive

It never worked because it was kept in a really long, thick, partially frosted crystal vase and photographing through glass is hard. :(

Pretty! I used to grow African Violets back when I had windows at work. I even had some that I had cross-bred.

I had no idea what african violets looked liked so I had to google them up! shows how much I know about plants :P they look super pretty, but also difficult to take care of!

I wouldn't mind having this cutie pie in my window <3

I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE.

(If you can only give me part of it though, I'll take the duck.)
