I'm actually meant to wear glasses when using computers (nothing else, just computers), but often don't. I just don't like them
Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says "But Doctor...I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

Kimmie

Well I only started using mine for driving...but then I realised how blind I am for distance. Then I found that tv looked better with them on...and at my computer I didnt get as tired and now they are stuck on my face  8)

I'm sorta interested in that too but it scares me. :-\

Kimmie

Well my Uncle has had it done and has never looked back ( :suffer:)...seriosuly though he didnt have any problems until in his job a wire lashed him in the eye and now his vision is bad again but thats not due to the surgery!!

I'd get it done in a few years when I can afford it, but it is a scary thought

Only discomfort was right after surrgery since they gave me eyedrops so I could not accomodate with my eyes. Had difficulty focussing for like 3-4 hours or so but after that it was fine.

The procedure itself took like 40 seconds each eye, I was in and out of the building in 10 minutes or so  ;) (though there were quite some tests before they said I was eligable for the procedure, and have to get back after a day/week/2weeks/month/3months/half year/year/etc to monitor). The centre where I got my eyes lasered said they had a less then 1% where it didn't work out, and usually could be fixed with a second procedure. I was scared as well at first, but seems that rumors of getting blind and such are all lies and never happends (or well, guess that depends on the procedure, at least with the one I took it never occured since they work in a completely different part of the eye).

I still need to put in some eyedrops a few times a day (different ones then used before the surgery, these are just fake tears), to keep my eyes from drying out but I think that stops aswell about 3 months or so after the procedure.

Anyways, just loving it, it is so much easier, though still reaching for my glasses when I am waking up  ;)

Notable side effects for Rob included an inability to type the letter 'm'

WHERE IS THE TEENY TEXT?

I'd love laser surgery, but unfortunately my eyesight is too bad to have it done.

Also Rob, PLEEEEEEASE don't bring back the broken keyboard!  I've quite come to enjoy seeing you type whole words again!

Rob was a sillypants who broke his keyboard.

That would be a good idea though if you decided to break this one!
