If you are reading this, you have lost the game. The game is simple; if you think about the game, you lose the game, and you must tell others that you lost the game so that they, too, can lose the game.

You are now playing the game, and you are now free to lose. If you wish, you can set thirty minutes or so in between losses so that you are not losing the game every five seconds.

"Try to pose for yourself this task: not to think of a polar bear, and you will see that the cursed thing will come to mind every minute." - Fyodor Dostoevsky, Winter Notes on Summer Impressions

I'm hoping to bring some new players to the game. But is there anybody on here who has already heard of it?

That's horrible. Why would you do this to this forum? :P

The Game is quite rampant around my high school (my former high school? This graduation thing is exciting XD). :P

Well, it's fun if you get into it, tell your friends, and then make them lose constantly.

And yes, you do automatically lose when you see this thread.

And Rosella, of course I'd do this to the forum. I'm evil.

Oh, and you're all back on the thread now if you're reading this, so you all just lost.

Well, it's fun if you get into it, tell your friends, and then make them lose constantly.
But by doing so you lose yourself aswell, even more often because you think beforehand about telling your friends. So what is the point in making other people lose if you losing more doing so? Even more, because everyone is losing and noone is winning, what is the purpose of it? to loose as little as possible? who is keeping the score?

QuoteThe Game has been described alternately as pointless and infuriating, or as a challenging game that is fun to play
Pointless I get, because it is. there is no purpose in it at all. I can't understand why people would think it would be infuriating unless they are actually trying to lose as little as possible. but if you try to think as little about the game as you can, won't that mean you actually think more about it? How can the game be challenging? where in lies the challenge? there is no competition and you can not avoid it either. No winners only losers *shrugs*.

I liked the movie called; The Game. or well, only when I watched it the first time when it was all new to me  :)

I don't like losing. I'm very competitive, if there's no way to win (which there isn't) it doesn't constitute a game, it constitutes frustration to levels that will probably lead to homicide if it keeps up for too long.
You have been warned. :P

I don't see why everyone thinks The Game is so hard. The dungeons were more tedious than actually hard to figure out, and even on Super Duper Hard Mode the CPU opponents fall for the Uppercut glitch every single time.
And once you get the Enchanted Tinfoil Helm, you're pretty much unstoppable. :P

The disappearing platform segment was a little tricky, and forcing the player to win a game of Cribbage to get full points was a little annoying, but otherwise... ::)
