From MoE: "Truth did not come into the world naked, but it came in images. One must pass through the image into the truth."

I like to say that whenever I want to sound smart.

Also when I'm told to go get something, I often come back saying "I have fetched some green mold!"

And whenever I'm pruning the bushes around my house, I like to say, "Alack! The heads do not die!"
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

I don't really use it in real life, but I really like this quote from King's Quest 1 - Quest for the Crown. Think it's the very last sentence of the game:

QuoteAnd whenever King Graham looked into his magic mirror, he saw visions of adventures yet to come... for him, for his children, and for Daventry, the land he loved so much.

Going a bit offtopic here, but I loved the way, the story was told in KQ 1-6. With both, an animated image and a narrator giving even more detail about what happens. Playing the old KQ games is a little bit like reading an animated book.
"Love can't be banished, even from this place... still less can it be banished from my heart."
- Alexander (King's Quest VI - Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow)

I don't really quote KQ, but I do quote the Gabriel Knight series on a regular basis. And yes, I do quote Cognition sometimes.

"Lying to a federal agent is not something we take lightly"  ;D
"You Can Feel Good About Hood"

Sometimes I quote lines but since becoming a teacher, I have been telling my kids the story of King Graham and absolutely LOVE IT. They can't wait until we start Part 4. Which I plan to use in my learning walk for my principle and district video next week :P

I teach 7-8 years old aka 2nd grade. A learning walk is when the principle, vice principle, and two other teachers come in and watch a lesson that I am teaching to the kids. The lesson has to be a high level critical  thinking lesson where the kids have to evaluate what is presented and then draw conclusions.

Basically the idea will be that the student is taking Graham to school with them. They will have to think how will he react to the new surroundings and what do they think will be some problems or successes Graham will have going to school with them.

There are many outcomes, which makes it higher level learning. I have no idea how this is going to turn out. After Thursday I will be able to give you examples.

That's just awesome, waltzdancing! Looking forward to you sharing your experiences about the lesson :)

Here's another quote I came across:
QuoteIf you find your true love, protect her with your life. We're all beasts without the redeeming humanity of love. (King's Quest VI - Beast)
"Love can't be banished, even from this place... still less can it be banished from my heart."
- Alexander (King's Quest VI - Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow)
