It's nice to hear that Roberta even took the time to play it. Since She and Ken has pretty much said in the past, that she really doesn't like to play other people's games, and doesn't even really play her own. She would just look briefly at others playing games for her, so she could get ideas for her own games.

She has also been asked what she thought of fan games, and also said the same thing, like "I wish them luck" but I don't really pay much attention".

So you definitely need to feel honored, indeed very honored. That is a rare honor.

They played through the whole of Episode 1. They want to play the other episodes as soon as they become available!

Here's a couple of excerpt from Ken: "Roberta is playing it now .. she seems to be smiling!" and  "We are amazed that your group has done this!"

Roberta wrote two full paragraphs on it. We'll share with you soon!

Short of the Adventure Game genre being fully resurrected (one can dream, right?), I don't think Roberta will ever have that competition.

Either way, I hope you upload what she said soon - it really is amazing to know that the Williamses took the time to play TSL!

They told me it was the worst game they ever played and that I shouldn't even bother downloading it.  They said, I quote "It's free for a reason."  



Yeah Right!  I'm sure they loved it.

I don't know Jane Jensen is still designing adventure games. If it turns out to be good, she may become a new Queen Of course whe'll have to become prolific. Actually come to think of it I think she has been described as the "queen of adventure games" by some reviewers in the past, back when she was working for Sierra.

I think there are plenty of kings and queens of Adventure games in in the past, and present. You'll find some reviews back in the day claiming "Lucasarts was the king of adventure games/gaming." Suppose it just depends on people's opinions and tastes.  

However, the thing is we need to flatter Roberta out of her sabbatical, and get her to ascend to the throne of Empress of Adventure Gaming  .

I'm happy for Jane Jensen to be an Empress of Adventure Gaming - she did a great job in making KQ6 a timeless game along with Roberta.
