Say

aw thanks, that was really cute.

seriously though the stress wont end here... this is just the beggining of a large amount of stress coming, first I give it in, they evaluate it and they say wether I can defend or not this semester, not only that, after that then comes the defense, which is a whole hour OF A DEBATE OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS about it... so yeah... *freaks out* this is only the beggining... hopefully :(

Don't worry, those two are the sole responsible for their amount of stress. After all, even I have survived education until my 21st year (not doubling even one year) so if I can do it, surely you must too. :-*

this was your idea after all :P

Cheerleader?? me?? YIKES!!  :o
You DON'T want to see me in cheerleaders uniform  :o :o :o

My idea of cheerleading was sitting at the snackbar and letting out and occasional "YAY" every once in a while  ;P

Yonkey

Technically, I haven't doubled a year either.  Just doubled a course. :P

It's not the stress that I can't handle, it's all the other crap that causes it, which I hate.  :P

Well, you're an accountant, IIRC, so you must have taken some kind of business degree or accounting degree, I would guess?

If I went to college, it would be for either a science, or computers.

With computers, I'd probably run into Yonkey's problem... esoteric math classes, and needing to keep current with classes. Plus a bunch of other weirdnesses I hear my CS major friends complaining about.

If I took a science, I suspect I'd almost certainly have to do a thesis, which I'd probably do terrible at.

Now, see, the problem wouldn't really be the research and writing and experimentation part and everything... I'm decent at that. Every time the teacher has made us write an essay on a given topic, or a choice from a list of topics, I did well.

No, the problem was when the teacher *didn't* give us anything to write about, and told us to just pick whatever topic we wanted. And I always did sucky because I inevitably floundered for ages then finally chose a topic that one, was nothing like what the other kids picked, and two, unfortunately was also completely not what the teacher was going for. :P That's not even factoring in that half the time it ended up being a topic too off-base to even be able to research and essay properly under the assignment guidelines. (sigh) I'm one of those people who detests the question "What do you want to say/do?" because I never can think of anything!

If I was a scientist or a computer person, I'd never be good at anything more than a lab tech type, doing the grunt work for other people. :P Actually, I'm not good at anything other than that in *any* field. I'm just incapable of coming up with something completely creative from just my own thoughts. I mean, if you tell me to do a task, great, I'll try and find the best way to do it. But if you ask me to think of what to do to begin with, I'm just terrible at it.

At least, er, I'm assuming the choice of thesis is entirely up to you. :P

Peace & Luv, Liz

Say

k, well neil doesnt needs a degree cuz he's doing a technical career, Im doing a 5 year career (not tech) so I do need thesis and all that s*** I had to do even social work (wtf annoying) and internship, I did social work with the dean ;P lol he totally lubs me now and I did internship at a pc company from here (software/hardware) and my thesis yes, it was my free will, although you must get it approved or otherwise you cant move foward

Technically speaking, I'm a bookkeeper, but with a degree specialized in Accounting. In Belgium I can't call myself an accountant though, because that title is registered and can only be used by members of an accountant institution. Needless to say I'm not a member. I have a Bachelor degree in business management, bookkeeping-accountancy.

Even I had to do a sort of thesis at the end of my third Bachelor year, so don't think that's specific for science courses.

I did moderate at every essay I was given, always around 50%. I'm not good at writing essays, especially about a certain topic. When I can write freely, and go from one topic to another, I can type long essays, but not when I have to stick to one topic.

During the first 16/17 years of my life I also didn't know what I wanted to do. When I found out I was good at bookkeeping, I had a vague idea, and at the end of my scholarly career I had two options: government or on my own. I have no commercial talents, so the only feasible option was government and that I am now doing. 8)I

You do realize this is only strengthening my suspicion that I'd never survive college without going mad, right?

Heh. The only things I'm good at are being efficient and organized, and you don't need a degree to be a file clerk, so I guess going to college would be useless anyway. :P :-\

B'rrr

well if you're never going to try it you won't know it for sure do you (going mad and such ; ) ...hahaha, college isn't that bad, and if your intelligent (as you claimed earlier ; ) then there would be no problem at all.

My biggest problem is that I'm not organised at all (well, a bit ; ) ...so if you are, then you would probably preform better then I do ; )

There is no use to ponder about everyting that could go wrong. If you want to, please do it. And if you don't want to go to college, please don't ...hahaha sounds easy, just don't have any regrets later that you didn't went.

hahaha... not really good ; ) ...I'm a bit dyslexic : ( ...my reading en speaking skills are/were pretty good but my grammar and spelling were (and still are) lousy ; )

I did improved though and in the last few years of highschool as well in college I got pretty high grades (mostly because they focussed less on spelling and grammar)

Ah, that explains your error. Anyway, I've always been good at spelling and English grammar just comes to me naturally. Must be because I've been watching BBC TV from when I was still much younger than I am now. Hence I was good at reading and speaking English too (and still am ofcourse, practice makes (keeps in this instance) perfect!). XB)
