Do I need the Windows patch?

How does the patch affect the game?  I am sometimes not thrilled with patches.

The patch is specifically for Windows 7 users. In testing, we found that some people win Win 7 had an audio glitch that cut out the sound altogether--the patch fixes that.

Whenever i buy a Game, i Always get the Patch, no matter if its needed or not.

I will report that I'm using a brand new gateway from best buy that runs on Windows 7 64bit and DID NOT need to install the patch. Everything worked perfectly without the patch. Only thing i had to change was the resolution. I wanted it at max and it didnt' start me there.

From what I hear, you do not need the patch if your computer does not use Windows 7.

My suggestion is, if you have Windows 7, install the game, and try to run it first. If it doesn't play correctly. Install the patch at that point. If it still does not play correctly, come back to the forums and look here for a solution. If none of those help, or if you are confused about what to do. Post a topic in the Technical Support board. Make sure to read and follow this when posting so that we can help you more.
