Question about remaining episodes

So are all the episodes finished and just waiting for release?  I'm just curious because I've been following TSL since day one and I know you guys had said you had finished the game and just needed to send it out for approval and then the whole thing with Activision happened.  SO I'm just curious, is the entire game finished and just waiting release in chunks, or do you guys still need to make the other episodes?

The last I heard from the team, the other episodes are around 90% complete. Some episodes have more work to be done than others.

I still don't understand... I was under the impression that they were finished.  I mean... long ago they said they had to have the game 100% complete before they sent it off to Vivendi to get the OK to release it.  So... why exactly isn't it finished if they had it sent out as finished?  I just don't like the idea of waiting 10 years for episode 2 when episode 1 was so short...

Only Episode 1 was 100% complete and sent to Activision for approval last November.  The plan was to continue work on the remaining episodes and release them sometime in 2010 when the first 3 episodes were completed so they could be released in a timely manner.  Unfortunately the issues with Activision put all that on hold and when the cease and desist came about we stopped production all together since we had no idea if we would ever be able to release.  When the issues with Activision started to get resolved we started production again.  Since we had already missed our original launch window we decided to release episode 1 as soon as possible so the public could at least get a taste of the game since they had been waiting for so long.  Were working on episode 2 now and hope to get it out in the next 2 months barring any unforeseen issues.

Also for the record all 5 episodes have been in production since the beginning.  Its not like we spent all this time only on episode 1.  The game is fully playable but its missing various animations and small sequences that we are currently completing.  When that's all in place the game will be released.

In the meantime our PR team is going to do its best to keep the site active and keep some interesting stuff (ie Four Winds and other goodies) coming to keep you guys entertained until episode 2 is ready for launch.

BTW, is Graham going to be the only playable character in all the episodes?  Or will we get a chance to play some of the other members of the Daventry family like was originally planned?

Actually, it has changed. We've added a brand new dynamic to the game. Now you can also play as Shadrack! And you get to experience the story from a completely different perspective! Ok, not really. But it would be kind of cool, wouldn't it?

The Lost Odyssey let you play as the main villain very briefly, it was pretty cool.
