King's Quest IX!!!

Holy crap I just realized I'm on my computer playing a BRAND NEW King's Quest Game!! Who ever thought we'd be able to say that again?

And now that the initial excitement has wavered (just a little), here are my thoughts on the game:

Absolutely, completely, mind-blowingly AWESOME!! They've certainly come a long way since that demo, and the wait has been way more than worth it. Every single thing about this game is simply incredible: the music, the voices, the graphics (WOW), the story (so far), everything. I'm totally blown away by how professional every aspect of the game is. This is, without question, what King's Quest VIII should have been (come on, we all know it!)

Like most of us, I played my very first Sierra game, King's Quest - The Quest for the Crown, at about 6 or 7 years old, and was instantly hooked. The most amazing achievement by the extremely talented folks at POStudios, in my opinion,  is that they've managed to capture perfectly the spirit and the magic we all remember from the glory days of Sierra. Seeing Graham in his adventurer's outfit again brought me right back to those great times! You can't ask for more than that, and my hat is off to the whole team. You have exceeded every one of my expectations, and I cannot thank you enough for bringing back a legend in the way that it should be done.

And just a quick note to any gripers on this board - give us a break. From the first second of the intro, it's obvious how much love and hard work went into bringing this thing to life. And they didn't do it for money, or acclaim. They did it for us, the fans. They did it out of a deep respect for an amazing piece of work that we all remember fondly. And they did it, in my opinion, perfectly.
