I found myself!!

No, I just wanted to explain my absences, sorta...

You see, I have this habit of working on projects that will never end, so I'm working on a new one of those.
PLUS we went on vacation to Florida.
PLUS I'm working three jobs now.
So. I'm a little busy. But I'll try to stick my nose in when I can!

Not even sure how to explain my absence.... last post Nov 2011 :o

RL has been erratically busy what with work and family stuff, and being a dad definitely comes with its own responsibilities too, although that's no excuse not to stop by and say hi to you all more often.

Gonna try and be back again, we shall see how it goes. And for those, probably many, members who have joined this AWESOME forum during my time away, tis nice to meet you all! ;D

I'm with Q on this one...life has been totally busy. I have an hour commute each way these days, so I'm leaving the house BY 6:30 each morning, getting home by about 5. Seeing students ALL day long with no time to breathe! By the time I get home, we have to get supper together, and pretty much just get a little bit of time together before going to bed (by 8:30 or 9)..and do it all over again the next day. The house is a disaster, the laundry is never done, and on top of all that, Erik and I are now house-hunting, so all of our time on the weekends where we did chores, we're now out looking for houses! And Spring Break is still 3 weeks away!! :(

BUT all that said, I thought I'd drop in and say hello :)

Cat! :cat: :D
I totally understand. My wife and I both have commutes of about 1 hour. I leave around 6:20 and usually don't get home until after 6 PM. The main reason I have any free time is that I ride a van pool to and from work. Plus we have two little kids who keep us quite busy. Fortunately, we do have the weekends to get things done around the house, but it never seems to be enough.

Not sure how you do it, Steve! I've been blessed with Erik, who does SO much around the house. We definitely make a great team! But that's the only reason the house is in any semblance of order. Oh, and wouldn't you know, we picked up material yesterday so that I can start on Erik's pirate costume for the Renaissance festival? Like there's not enough on my plate! And I have a friend asking if I could make a new one for her as well! I can, but that means my evenings will be spent sewing my fingers off. Of course, all those have to be done by May! Thank goodness I made my pirate costume for Halloween!

BTW, we have swords now!! En guarde!!
