He actually walks up against hte banisters and the wall, and gets stuck in the corner where the two connect. There is a comment if you look at the banisters, about the staircase leading up. They didn't want you the balcony obviously LOL. It doesn't make much sense visually when you can see the area is pretty open in the great hall scene. My guess they didn't want to bother to draw another piece of art.

Also notice that the top of the grand hall picture, the banister ends at one of the marble pillars. No such thing in the hallway screens (there is no pillar).

Hmm I noticed another visual difference between your castle and KQ6, you have the painting area with the statue as a rectangular alcove? In KQ6, it was a "small curved alcove"(quoting the game text, but you can also see it in the visuals).

The genie changed it to have corners so it's easier to vacuum.

They have vacuums? In ye olden ancient times?

Plus you don't ever have to change the bag or clean a filter, the dirt literally just disappears.

Wouldn't it just be easier to just "poof" the dust out of existence without vacuuming  ;D.

In this world we never get to do things by the most obvious or easy method.

I wouldn't want a drunk genie anywhere near a magical vaccum :p

Shamir doesn't get drunk, he gets Minty.  We just have to keep him off the Isle of the Sacred Mountain when that happens (this may or may not be connected to why the island rotated 180 degrees) and restrict him to the Isle of Wonder, where he still blends into a crowd just fine.

Hah hah, funny, though KQ6 actually does call him 'drunk' a few times as I recall.

Physically speaking, the island didn't rotate 180 degrees, you can place the classic map on top of the map in TSL, and the shapes match up. That is there are three coves on the bottom of the map, and a single cove on the top, just like there is in the original game. If it was turned upside down the shape wouldn't match up.

My bad, to clarify (and further make stuff up) - the island itself didn't move, Shamir just moved the cliffs of logic themselves to the north side while in a mint-induced stupor.  He's normally really helpful (i.e. poofing all of the royal family to the Land of the Green Isles for the wedding) but when he gets into the mints bad things happen.

He would have had to move the city as well, you know their is only one path to the city, and if you moved the cliffs, and not the city the path, the catacombs, you would have a very difficult time reaching the city. That would be more or less force the island to be "turning the island 180 degrees".

In KQ6, you work your way to the beach, climb north up the cliff to reach the plateau, where the catacomb entrance is located, then head north up the path to the mountain itself, which you can see in the distance, until you reach the gates. Which the game states are north of the cliffs of logic, the city and mountain itself is said to be north of the gate.

Well you could have probably have said that the map is how the island should actually appear, and appeared in the past, but the island itself was really turned 180 degrees. But that would make things even more confusing.

But seriously, keep writing this bad fanfic, its hilarious stuff.  :suffer: :suffer:

There's a mirror.

Of course. How could we not see this before. This is all the Magic Mirrors doing. Getting back at the TSL team for not having any significance to the story. It flipped the world upside down.  :o

One of my brother's friends (from Massachusetts) married her husband (from New Hampshire, or was it Vermont? I dunno, lots of trees :P) in New York. Apparently, she'd been to a wedding there and fell in love with it and decided to get married there herself.

One of my BFFs is getting married in a church in Pennsylvania, even though she's from Ohio. (Granted, we went to school in PA together so she's *slightly* connected there...) Of course, we still haven't found a guy for her to marry.... but since she's back in Ohio, it's safe to say he won't have any connection to the place! :P

That's a couple real life example so, I think that's a solid explanation. Rosella just likes it there.

She can't just "like it there."  That's far too simple of an explanation :P
