I can't wait to see the isle of wonder again, it was one of those places you just wanted to explore every inche of.

Oh yeah, I really hope they hae some of those wacky idioms in kq9 like the stick in the mud or the hole in the wall. Then again, I guess it wouldnt fit with the serious tone ;-(. But, if we do go back to the isle of wonder they HAVE to be there right?

Why not? it fitted in with KQ6... and KQ6 was (for the most part) a serious game. It depends on how it's done

Very true. I guess it's just the fact that the isle of wonder is like a whole different world full of silly stuff and as long as that silly stuff doesnt overflow into other areas it's still a perfectly serious game.

Even Gabriel Knight wasn't entirely serious. I don't think I've ever played an entirely serious adventure game (Sanitarium isn't even entirely serious), just because it would be sort of a downer to play. You have to have some humor, even if it's just dark humor, to keep things from getting too mired down.

There were some KQ9 Narrator lines which had me rolling laughing.
