I was playing MoE and I had played part of the way through the swamp. I had the Swamp Armour and Weapon. I decided to try the invincible cheat on Connor, and it worked fine. I later decided to take the portal (not using the map) back to Daventry. Everything was looking fine until i realised that it had teleported me to Sarah's house. It started playing the movie where he just grabs the Mask and walks upto Sarah saying "what has happened?"

It was acting as if it was at the start of the game! also all the items i had collected previously were back, all of the objects i smashed and/or opened were back to normal, and the enemies i had killed were alive again! I also still had my Swamp Armour and Weapons!

What has happened, did i disover a new GLITCH! Anyway i might send a note out to Sierra asking about this.

BTW if i can get it to save then i might put a link for it here so you can download and try it out!

The cheating engine is messed up probably. I got right near the end once and I couldn't collect the Sun Armor (which I technically had due to the cheats). My game kept crashing every time I tried to get the armor. Thankfully I played the game and won on a newer computer, I just wanted to get that game completed and done with. ;)

....well that means you are just not allowed to cheat ; ) ...I can't see the fun in a game if you cheat! doesn't that destroys the intention of the game?

I only cheated in MOE because I wanted to have the satisfaction of it being completed. And having invincibility made things go much faster. ;)

Depends on the game. There are a few action games I've played where I cheated a little just so I could manage to complete the game and see how the storyline and design played out.

yeahh... but then you wouldn't play the game for the game, only for the story... so you could better watch a movie or so ; )

And I think (for me at least) that the storyline is a reward for the time you put into ; / ...example; I never really liked playing Red Alert series (campain), but I played them anyway cuz I wanted to watch the movies ; ) ...and if there was an option to watch all the movies at once or without any effort (cheating -> next level, unlimit resources, etc), I wouldn't have played the game nor would I enjoy the movies as much.

EDIT: ...but that is just my experience ; )

It is possible to cheat in such a way that it's still possible to really *play* the game, it's just a little easier to do so (extra lives, dumbing down the AI a bit, etc.). But for the most part, that *is* why nowadays I generally don't play action games. However, back in the days of the Atari  and Genesis and NES and such, the vast majority of available games were action ones... RPGs and puzzlers were few and far between. So if you wanted to play a video game, it usually had to be an action one.

I agree with B'rrr about cheating... I've never really seen the point to it, especially in a game like MoE. The whole goal of the game is producing raw carnage, and if there's no difficulty in doing so, it kinda kills the game.

The mega glitch about MoE is that it exists ;)

I had the same exact glitch!  I myself had not completed the game...my mom and brother did (the four of us (my dad doesn't play many computer games) would each work on different pieces of the game because it would take so long).  So I decided to play the game on my own (pretending he's beside me---sorry, random moment--flashback to a song), with cheats since I have no ability to eat an action game without them, and couldn't finish because of the glitch.  Started over, saved game under the original name...then figured out that it may have worked had I taken it out of "god" mode...stopped playing after that b/c I was upset all that work went down the drain!  Oh well, maybe I'll try again one day...just to be able to watch the *cough* crappy *cough* ending sequence again, since I don't remember it.

I agree 8)

And let me just say that I never cheated while playing MOE. Mostly because I didn't know how :P
