Dialog in Teaser trailer, old songs, soundtrack demos.

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, with Episode 2 due anytime, I went back to look at the older trailers, etc on Youtube and I was wondering: What episode, if any, has the dialog/conversation from the 2005 trailer where Graham is talking to Valanice about  "do you remember when we first met?...I would keep this dream alive...One day I will disappear...what's to become of our children..." etc etc.

Also, I remember on the old site you had speech lines from Edgar, Alex, and Sarah etc where Alex said "Where's Connor?...He won't listen to me...There's things beyond his knowledge..." and Edgar was saying "What good am I to her...like this..."

and the theme song  "The Day You were Gone"  are those songs and dialog still somewhere in the 5 episodes to be released?

Hmm, someone (Doon, I'm pretty sure) just re-uploaded the old sound files from the old site.  Lemme see what I can find and I'll get back to you...

Welcome, graham-backwards ;)

The Day You Were Gone song is still in--the dialogue between Sarah and Alex is not, as it was from a later part of the game. The one between Edgar & Graham, might still be in...I'm pretty sure it still is.

Graham's speech to Valanice is also still yet to come. Episode 3, I believe.

I don't know if this was confirmed or not, but are there going to be any references to Mask of Eternity (Connor, Lucreto, the Cataclysm)? If not, does the game take place before Mask of Eternity, or are you guys just pretending that Mask of Eternity never happened ( :P)?

It takes place after MoE (in fact, in Issue 1 of Four Winds, there's a whole article about Connor being honored for saving the kingdom!), but doesn't make too much reference to the events of it. We made more of it in the original longer script, but most of that was cut.

It seems like a lot was cut out of the script. You guys must have been very passionate towards this project. Once the entire game is out, are you planning on sharing with all of us the content that was cut? I'm just curious as to what your original vision was, but obviously, I wouldn't expect it prior to Episode 5's release.

I won't say it's an impossibility, but we may hang onto it for possible use in original games. A lot of what was cut was entirely original, so we could still use it without encountering copyright issues.

I don't know - I don't think C9 has much in common with KQ/TSL. I could be wrong, though. There's also Akasha that Cez was working on a while back - I don't know if there are still plans to make that?

Yeah, but plot points could clash with a new game's story. It's hard to offer an example, but the more complex the plot element is, the harder it'll be to add into an already developed storyline. It's not as easy as changing names or settings. It may still be possible, but it may also take away from their original vision.

I don't know much about it, but César (and Say :)) had a website called Fawrk a while back, and it advertised a planned game called Akasha.

It was a sort of motion-comic story concept...the story's still around and may see use someday, it's another one in the 'in case of emergency, break glass for story' folder ;)
