I agree, KQ6 was the best of the lot!  The voices were great, Alexander's was so *_*, and the narrator was cool too!  I personally didn't like 5, it bugged me waaaay too much.  But if this game is anything like KQ6, and with Alexander in it...  Then I will be HAPPY!

Where do all these new posters come from? We must have struck gold (member-wise ofcourse)!

Indeed, KQ6 was the best. But I personally feel you should play KQ7 too. Sure, it looks a bit too cartoon-ish for some, but I like cartoons, so I didn't mind. MOE, don't play it if you don't like fighting.

Welcome to Freak and MangoMercury!  (haha, that should be a line somewhere...now welcoming freaks and mangos! hah!) Glad to have some new people on board the forums here:)

KQ6 voice acting was indeed terrific!! If we end up doing that with KQ9, I hope it'll end up as good. KQ6 was definitely KQ at its peak, I'd say.

Well, until now of course ;-)  Love to tell you more, but Cesar'd have my head if I did!  So I'll defer to his "suffer" emoticon: :suffer::suffer:  heehee!

I hope all those new people stay for a while...
Try and keep it interesting ;D

KQ6 is also my favorite, and the voices add A LOT to the game - they take the from just great to absolutly fantastic :D

KQ7 was alright.  Thing I didn't like about that one was when you had to sneak into Malicia's house, I got caught EVERY TIME ><  Argh!

But KatieHal made a good point with the heads that came up in KQ6 along with the dialogue, I think that the talking ones are better than the original text ones.  The dialogue one made Alexander SO COOL!

My only problem is that, as a person with a hearing impairment, I like to have the subtitles and words on things, as well as the dialogue, but you couldn't on KQ6.  Niggly.  So, is there going to be subtitles in KQ9?  Just a suggestion for us hard of hearing!

Heh, I'm hard of hearing too!
But I usually turn the speakers way up. ;)
I have hearing aids, but my left ear has had pressure problems for a long time now so I only wear my right one. At least that'll save money for when I get a new hearing aid!

It's true, though, I do love the subtitles. Sometimes in movies there are things I would miss completely if it weren't for subtitles (like some funny line in the background or something).

I always turn on CEEFAX-subtitles when I'm watching a program on the BBC. Not because I can't understand what they're saying otherwise, but sometimes I miss a word (and very rare I don't understand a word since English is not my mother tongue) and at that time it's very convenient to have subtitles filling in the blank. Also, when I'm playing (adventure ofcourse) games that have the option to display subtitles, it's always turned on.
Just for the record, I am not hard hearing, my disability is restriced to my eyes. 8)

Yeah,I've only played KQ6 and 8,and 6 is the best ADV game I've ever played so far.

8 wasn't any good IMO,and at that time my machine could only run that game in 15-25 fps I think.

BTW,which game do you think is the best ADV recently released?

MangoMercury

Yay for hard-of-hearing people!  We rock!  Yeah, I often miss things in movies and games without subtitles, and when I play KQ6 (which is on my laptop), I often have to wear headphone so I can hear anything (but then that hurts my ears).  I'd just have the subtitles, but I love Alexander's voice too much!  And the MUSIC.

That depends on what you like. Maybe you should check out Justadventure+ Justadventure+, they've got reviews on most recent adventure-releases, so you can make up your mind whether you like it or not. 8)
