Hello everyone

I have just gone through the intro and episode 1 again. I still find it curious that there is no note on the pawn
shop door in the intro. But later when graham goes through the town he sees a note on the pawn shop door.
The note which says 'closed due to wedding' (this is crossedout) and underneath 'closed due to tragedy'. The
note disappears almost immediately'. I am wondering if this will be explained in episode 2 or later.

I don't think the team will announce when it will be explained, but like liggy said, it will be explained.

Glad someone noticed that happening. Hmm, yes, it is quite mysterious, isn't it?  :suffer:

I found it pretty interesting myself.  Mainly because it's such a benign thing to have done.  The motivations of making that vanish are a mystery to me.  I'm having trouble even formulating a theory.  Was it the dark stranger?  Shadrack?  A third party?  Is Graham dreaming all of this because he, not his kids, was the one cursed and it's all in his head?  It's just so inexplicably bizarre.  I want to try to figure out a theory, but I just don't know where to start.

At the very least it's more complex than plain old disappearing ink.

Just out of curiosity, liggy, are you part of the team?  'Cause I didn't know if you were. ;]

You know, I really like the theory that Graham is dreaming everything because he's the cursed one...

He is, but it's pretty recent - so you're not that far behind. :)

My personal theory was that the note was left there by the Pawn Shop owner, Hakim, when he left his shop. The sign said, "Gone to Wedding". This may be me presuming too much, but I think the second sentence was written by someone who was not Hakim. Doesn't make sense to me that the Pawn Shop owner would feel the need to update his "Gone Fishing" sign on the door of his shop. So maybe Shadrack (or another Black Cloak member) had enchanted the sign with a "warning" of what was going to happen. Obviously, I'm taking shots in the dark, but it would seem that Hakim would be too distraught by the Tragedy to worry about the petty sign on his shop's door.

My bad, I was debating between saying, "Hakim" or "the Pawn Shop owner". I guess I forgot to take out the "the".  :-[

But why then during the introduction, when the pawn shop owner is at the wedding, is there
no 'gone to wedding' sign to start with?

Hakim didn't leave for the wedding yet? The intro cuts away from the banner to the castle. There's no telling how much time went by.

Thanks Snabbott. You're very good at answering questions without making the asker feel like a nerd for not knowing. :)

On the contrary, a nerd pays close attention to small details that raise many questions. If you didn't notice that something seems off, that makes you perfectly normal.  ;D
