I am curious as to how you guys came up with the name for your company. I always figured that the "Online" part was an allusion to "Sierra On-Line", but I've always been puzzled about the "Phoenix" part.

One explanation I thought of was that you guys are trying to bring back the arguably dead genre of adventure games, so the the "Phoenix" part could have something to do with rebirth.

Can anyone clear this up? Thanks.

You know, I'm not entirely sure myself! We started as Phoenix Freeware Online, waaay back in the day. After the first C&D, it became Phoenix Online Studios. The "Phoenix" part I never even asked about it, it seemed pretty obvious why that must've been chosen. :)
