Retro Graham Texture

I modified TSL's system texture files to produce a retro version of Graham (read: a yellow version of Graham). His shape is exactly the same, but the coloration is all taken directly from KQI.

Yes, that's precisely why I'm having difficulty. I was thinking of converting the bookshop into a disco room, but as I said, I can only change the textures, not the shapes, and one wouldn't find bookcases filled with novels in a disco club...

If you can find decent quality pictures of someone from the front and back, I'd try my hand.

haha. I can totally picture the narrator saying that!

I was messing around in gimp, and when you mentioned the bookstore, it had to be done. I went a little crazy with the lighing effects and lens flare. I am very happy with the lighting effects I achieved to take out any trace of outside lighting though, as crazy as the lens flare/light rays look.

yeah. lucky for me, the idea was to give it the feel of a crappy 'shop job, plus some fancier lighting effects so it didn't take more than probably 10 minutes. not quite a terrible photoshopping, but not quite great work eithr because it is so distorted with weird lighting effects and copy+pasted discoballs.

looking at it again though, it's pretty awesome looking if I do say so myself.

depends. in that case, yes. I am tired and didn't care enough to spend time correcting details. plus it was kindof a joke at the quick shops you see in the interwebs these days, so it really didn't take much time to simply block out the bookshelves with a big black marker and find some discoball pics on the internet. everything else is what took the time. looking at the time you posted that to the time I posted my picture, it probably took closer to 20 minutes total, most of that was messing with the lighting.

Something I am going to start working on tomorrow, (If I can get to sleep, that is) Make night time scenes of some KQ scenes. Those will take longer probably.

I'm wide open for suggestions. I don't think the disco library would work, but if you have any suggestions besides that, I would really love to hear them.

I have the skills but not the inspiration. Someone be my inspiration...

Hmmm. I don't think that would work very well, mostly because without the animation, the

loses its power.

Any other ideas? Please?
