stuck!

im not sure why but i am stuck on the beginning. i have the eye icon, the ingredient list up and the ship looks like it has sunk underwater. anyone else stuck here or am i just a moron?!?!?!

I'm moving this to the Hints section in a moment, but I'm not entirely sure what's happening on your screen. The ship is appearing like it's sunk?
