Character faces

Two Questions:
I remember back in the old days, it was mentioned that the faces of the Royal Family were based  in TSL on celebrities, mixed with their looks from previous games. I remember hearing Graham's face was based on Harrison Ford.

1) Is that still the idea?
2) If so, what celebrities are Valanice, Alex and Rosella's faces based on?

It wouldn't surprise me if they did still incorporate that into the game.  I swear I get deja-vu looking at some of the characters.  Azure and Ariel in particular look very familiar (though I always thought Azure looked like an old time silent movie star, even in KQ6).  Rosella looks slightly familiar as well.  And I swear the portrait of Calaphim in the castle is actually Sean Connery wearing Calaphim's clothes!

Who would play Graham? Harrison Ford?

Let's see, character references I can recall.... Graham we definitely used Harrison Ford as a model/inspiration. The other ones I can think of were Jennifer Connelly for Cassima and Heath Ledger for Edgar. The Edgar one you can't really see much of now, but I think the Cassima one is very easy to spot.

I can't recall one that we might've had for other characters, but the artists would know better than I on that.

I thought Edgar's character (including voice acting, animation, and model) looked very good in Episode 2.

Oh, I'm not knocking the model we've got, I just don't think the resemblance to Heath Ledger carries over to the 3D model. We'll have to release more sketch and concept art sometime soon so you guys can see the sketches where it's very clear.

Was the Heath Ledger idea still present with the map seller?  Unless I'm just looney, I noticed an uber amount of physical similarities between Edgar and Map Seller.

Also, I saw the Sean Connery thing in Caliphim even inKQVI

I always noticed that too!  And if you ever watched theThundercats in the '80s, I always saw Sean Connery in Jaga the Wise

first thing I noticed viewing TSL story's intro (the marriage) is that Rosella's face is a bit....disturbing ! I dont know, her eyes are something evil to me, even when she smiles !! may be my imagination...or maybe it's a clue to the story  

the second thing was Alexander's hair....it looked absolutely similar to a 19-years-old friend of my nephew  maybe too "modern" his haircut for me. I can't imagine once upon a time there was an handsome prince with his hair showered in hair cream !! 

anyway, good work for the characters, absolutely excellent ! 


ps: somebody tell Valanice to not remove her make up in front of her players....they could remain shocked  just me at the end of the 2nd episode

the perfect person to play graham in kings quest the movie would be the guy from army of darkness and evil dead!  i'd watch it
