Sweet; that would be awesome. :)
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

I love the idea of developer commentary.

Same narrator and the whole thing would just be one big game - no separate episodes at all.

Well actually the director's cut might also contain the episode versions too.  It will likely be an extra option at the episode selection screen.

Daventry, honestly what the heck is your problem with female narrators?  I've seen you go on and on about it for a long time.  I'm a guy and I'm starting to get insulted by that sexist remark.

I kind of understand it because we felt a similar way when we were casting the narrator.   Its always been a guy, it has to be a guy.  We cast a guy and it didn't quite work.  Then Amy came along and we all loved it.  She's has a beautiful voice.

However I do think we overdid the sarcasm.  As designers we never really noticed it but I can understand how the constant nagging from clicking on the wrong thing could get annoying.  We're gonna look into that and see if we can add some less extreme responses to the mix so the tone isn't quite as extreme.

I have No Problem with Her or her Narration and Dont Attack me Personally when Allot of People have the Same Issue about this, so thanks for looking into it. :D

I think bloopers would be great. I have some pretty funny screen shots! ;D

Maybe you could clarify a bit then because you have posted a number of times that you want us to replace the female narrator with a male one, which isn't something that a lot of people have been requesting.  A few people have mentioned that it was different to have a female narrator, but their concern has been more about the level of sarcasm than just the gender, while you have repeatedly and specifically pointed out just the gender of the narrator.  It's not a personal attack to ask why you're so intently focused on that one specific aspect.

Honestly... the fact that the narrator is female hasn't even crossed my mind.  I really don't care one way or another.  I actually think it's a breath of fresh air and change can be a very good thing in this case.  People should not try to force things in the whole grand scheme of the creative process and that is what the team did not do by deciding to go with a female narrator, it just felt right.

As far as the director's cut is concerned, I am looking forward to that one as well.  I do think that they should make a Gold Edition of TSL though with extra scenes and added content available only to the team and the beta testers... that way we could make unlimited use of the  :suffer: :suffer: :suffer: :suffer: :suffer: and the pain would never subside.  There goes the devil on my shoulder making suggestions again.   ;D

I would like to go on record by stating that this is the worst idea in the world. ;)

In all likelihood, that will probably be the unfortunate fate of Chapters 3-9 - never released to the public, known only to PO staff.

LOL yes in all seriousness if we did actually go to the effort of creating extra gameplay we wouldn't keep it for ourselves.

If it makes you feel any better Doon, I don't know the whole plot and I work on PR and HR for Phoenix. I've never even played Episode 3-5 yet.  :P

kindofdoon

That's slightly reassuring, I guess. But still, the inner circle of PO will take Chapters 3-9 to their respective graves...

Come on Activision! Throw some money at Phoenix! :'(

Or you will see it in some form or another in a future game. That has to peak your interest a bit.

kindofdoon

What exactly do you mean by that? How would that work?

They have said in the past that most of the material in later episodes was all original. The characters were going to be new as well as how the story progresses. I'm sure Katie has the story somewhere sitting on a shelf and if she wanted to she could rework it into an entire new game.

Please correct me if I am wrong, guys. I'm going off of my memory at the moment.

kindofdoon

Hmmm. So in later chapters, the game departs so significantly from KQ that it could stand alone as its own non-KQ game?

Daniel Dichter, Production/PR
daniel.dichter@postudios.com

waltzdancing

I honestly don't know that part. I have never seen 3-9. Would like to though now that I think of it...however, during the C&D I remember them saying that the later chapters could be reworked into something different. Grated there isn't any animation done on those, so they could be changed to create another game. It could be about a boy who finds our he has a magical power one day and has to learn how to control it while running for his life from the bounty hunters.  :P
