Hmmm. So in later chapters, the game departs so significantly from KQ that it could stand alone as its own non-KQ game?

Pretty much, yeah. The later chapters had a lot of original material--granted, some of that story was pulled into the 5 episodes we now have when we condensed the story, but there's still a lot we could use for an original game later on.

All this talk about PO's future is so exciting. I just can't wait to see what you guys will come up with once you go at it full-time (and hopefully with some funding).

They will come up with some great stuff, and the new stuff in Episode 5 sounds great too. I'm already looking forward to C9. The only futuristic adventure games, that I can come up with, are Space Quest

I have No Problem with Her or her Narration and Dont Attack me Personally when Allot of People have the Same Issue about this, so thanks for looking into it. :D

Maybe you could clarify a bit then because you have posted a number of times that you want us to replace the female narrator with a male one, which isn't something that a lot of people have been requesting.  A few people have mentioned that it was different to have a female narrator, but their concern has been more about the level of sarcasm than just the gender, while you have repeatedly and specifically pointed out just the gender of the narrator.  It's not a personal attack to ask why you're so intently focused on that one specific aspect.
I meant that if this Guy can just Talk or Tell Graham what is what or you cant do that, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPLFol0Gh-E&feature=related then the Girl Narrator should do the Same and not try to Over Do her Narrating as if two Pals in a Pub trying to be Friends with Eachother.  :P

Just make her Tell you whatever without Sassy Comments. ;)

Listen to this Calm  Voice of the Narrator, this is how she should be, until 48 seconds into the Video, she ruins it.  ::)

That's much more into the constructive realm of things - and we are really looking into mellowing out her comments for future episodes.

That still doesn't explain why you were generalizing the narrator as sub-par because she's a woman though. I understand what you're saying in this post, but you DID request a male narrator to replace the female narrator in the Director's Cut. If the dialogue for the narrator remains the same, I don't think a male narrator would make a difference.

Nah im over it now, lets keep the Girl Narrator :D

Director's cut is a phenomenal idea.  But with all those chapters, I imagine it would be quite while to see those.  But hey, I'd be happy with a TSL novel, like one of the Ibooks, or whatever they're called.

Gotta say that I'm super excited about a director's cut!  A lot of the discussed tweaks and changes sound great.  Being able to play the whole game at once (rather than episodes) is very appealing to me.  I'm almost wishing I had the patience to wait for it, but alas, I do not, so I'll just have to play the episodes first and the director's cut after, haha.
Finally a place where no one will ask me what my screenname means or how to pronounce it!

The wait time between episodes is not that bad either.  Though our original release schedule would have made it shorter, waiting 2-3 months between episodes is an acceptable pace.  We used to wait 2 years or more between new KQ releases.  In this case its just enough to get your lips wait and make you want more.

Cliffhangers can be a aggravating but that's also why they are good.  They allow you to take a breath, ponder what might happen next, and make you appreciate the next episode even more.  Plus it also allows us  to build a community around the game.  If we had only released the full game not only would you have had to wait another year or more to play it but then the life span of the game would have been extremely short.  this release method allows you to discuss it, theorize about whats to come and make new friends in the process.

No, the other chapters are cut completely. A Director's Cut would see you exploring the Green Isles at your pace, and have you drive the plot, instead of us doing it in an episodic manner, but it would still be essentially the same game found within the episodes, only fully open to be explored.

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

A director's cut really sounds nice, particularly if it just opens up the game from the beginning as opposed to the episodic format (which as I've said in other posts, just doesn't work for me.)  Likewise, and I think I mentioned this some time back, I think it would be interesting to have a youtube video that has some of the cut audio, information of some of the deleted subplots, and artwork that didn't make it into the final game.

You've never heard of The Dig? It's an excellent LucasArts adventure, and it's $5 on Steam; you should definitely check it out.

The Dig is one of the most highly underrated Lucasarts games of all time.  It's fantastic.
