Yeah- I was the same about it :) David Tennant had a certain look about him, but Matt Smith will always be my fav. Probably cause he was the first one I followed rather than got back episodes on. Donno. He just has this awesome thing abotu him where he seems awkward about some tings, then he switches on badass Doctor mode and having Amy quipping- the best ^^

That, and I am SO GLAD that him and Amy weren't meant to work out. The only things I don't like so far about his run- the intro scene where he eats all that food (Went on WAY too long), and Amy hitting on the Doctor. The worst. There's just something wrong about companions being lovers with the Doctor.

The first Doctor you see often becomes ones favourite. My most liked doctor is tom baker.
I agree about not liking Doctors Companions being romantically interested in the Doctor. This was never
an issue in the original series.

I saw Eccleston first so I donno how that works :( He was cool, but didn't stick to me like David Tennant and Matt Smith did,

I'm not sure who my favorite Doctor is...Eccleston, Tennant and Smith are the only ones I've ever really seen. LOL, actually I vaguely remember seeing Tom Baker as the Doctor when I was a kid and for some reason thinking he was scary!

I think my favorite Companion so far is Amy Pond though. I like her spunk! (and I want her hair, of course)

Amen T.T I'd love to have actual ginger hair. I settle on fake red hair sadly T.T I'm a natural brunette >.>

If I can do it, Arkillian, so can you. :)

Yeah well usually the first doctor becomes your favourite. By the way seeing you are a Kiwi I thought you
would like to know that I have  heard that the latest Doctor Who christmas special will be on  nz tv the same day that tsl episode 3 will be available to us.

Same here, I thought Eccleston was kind of a jerk when I first saw him.

As for companions, I'm sort of torn between Amy and Donna.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Aww!  You have the Sword of Hugging +3!  All of your attacks deal affectionate damage!

How dark was your hair? The lightest I can get my hair is this. My hair is a very dark brown, and it'll be difficult to have hair as light as Amy's :( Not without photoshop anyways, but IRL doesn't allow for that >.<

I heard about that- I might see if I can claim the TV and watch it. I follow the DVDs cause the TV is hogged by my parents >.> *sighs*

I guess he is a little. I found him more abrupt, but that can also be jerky too at times. I guess he wasn't as fun as the others. Or weird. XD

My natural color is about a medium brown. I don't get it quite as light (or, well, 'orangey') as Amy Pond's color, but that's largely because it would look a little too unnatural on me. You could probably get it as light as hers, but you might need a dye that has some bleach in it, a permanent or demi-permanent color.

Buuuuut this is getting a little detailed for this thread I imagine, hehe. ;)

Red looks good on me, but I use salon hair colours and shampoos cause that's the only way I can get my hair light enough. My biggest problem is that I have too much pigment in my hair, so I'd have to restart dying my hair in copper for over a year, and get it done in 2 lots every time I do it. May have a chance then XD Straight bleach in 1 try isn't enough. That, and you can't redye over straight bleach. I have Scottish skin though. I suit Red hair better than I do brown :)

Oh yeah, I stick to having the pros do mine too :) And yep, I'm Irish (American), so I pull off the red like it was real!

In more on-topic chatter, any spoiler-free thoughts on the Xmas special anyone? I'm not sure when we'll get to see it over here. But a quick look at ew.com says that they really liked it.

All I know is that we new zealanders get to see the new doctor who christmas special  last at the end of january.
And yes going by some non spoiler reviews it sounds great. Its written by steven moffat himself.
All his stories have been fantastic except perhaps "the beast below". And hey its got michael gambon in it.
Although I have not seen it I have managed to see the 2011 series trailer, which is now, online and it looks brilliant.

Arkillian

I can't wait ^^ Is Amy back for the Honeymoon season? That'd be epic ^^

colin

I can tell you that rory has now joined the doctor and amy as a regular.

KatieHal

Aww, yay! Also I'm interested in seeing how that dynamic plays out!

I hope they don't 'challenge' Amy x Rory's romance any further without good reason. I really like the 3 as a dynamic. Specially now Rory is getting clued up. He's actually a cool character now :)

ghoststalker194

Believe it or not, but I acually hated the last season. The actors are good, don't get me wrong. I really enjoy their preformances, but the writing just turned me off.
Even going so far to turning some episodes off.

I got into Doctor Who when Rose joined the club. So the new seasons. And I did really enjoy them all, up until this one.

(Granted, the Christmas Special and Van Gogh episode were great)

You know what I'd like to see? Adventure fangames. There's been a few in the works, but they all seem to have stalled somewhere along the line, which is a pity. Hopefully Stuart Kerrigan (Ultima Lazarus) is still workin on "Time's Vanguard"... the screenshots looked interesting.
