If we're updating smiley's anyway, can we replace the crugs one with ? I was never happy with how I messed up the outline on that.

Yep, there was a contest to make new smileys a few years ago, and my crugs and the won and so were added. I'm not sure if this is true or not (predates me), but I've always thought that the crugs came about because someone made a typo when typing drugs, and crugs kinda became a forum joke.

I thought it was supposed to be "drugs" but because the smiley was on drugs when he made the sign, then instead he wrote "crugs". At least that's what I always thought.

I took one of the existing sign smileys and just edited it a bit in Paint.net.

Why a contest (vs just posting it here)?

Not too hard, especially the non-animated ones. For the smileys that already exist, I'm basically just stripping out their color and pasting in a blank forum one. Or to start from scratch, just start with a blank forum smiley, like so:



Animated is basically the same, just doing it with a bunch of images and then mashing them all together into one .gif file.

Oh. Nah, didn't have to worry about that since I just used an existing one, and if they said at the time I don't remember.
