Lol, we could make a couple stacks of rock and ask that people pretend they're guard dogs...

I assumed it was Lolotte from the green skin and black cloak.

No, no, he's Shadrack!

I have a blog!

Yes, that makes more sense. So Weldon is Graham, DM is Shadrack, and I'm Alexander (I didn't make the texture, btw).

And here's an aerial shot of the foundation I've laid down for the Castle of the Crown.  Done for tonight, tomorrow I gotta do a bunch of Episode 3 work but I'll leave the server open for other people to come in and play (Doon did today!) and get to work on laying down wall lines, doors, the garden, etc. if I have time.

I don't see any guard dogs! ;)

Hopefully Notch will add some type of NPC's at some point, that would be just super awesome.

I started working on the actual castle itself earlier today, going to get a whole bunch of Episode 3 work done right now and then if I have a bit later I'll go back to the castle for more.

Heh, I'm starting to agree (but only just a little ;) ) with people who said that our garden creates architectural weirdness.  I am, however, also including an actual kitchen.

Cools. :D How does one make that?

kindofdoon

One must displace all the water by placing solid blocks wherever one wants to have air. So I dropped a ton of stone blocks on the seabed, extending from the seabed up to the water level, hollowed out the stone chunk I made (leaving the outermost walls intact to prevent water from flooding in), and added a layer of glass around the outside of the stone layer. Then I removed the outermost stone layer and dug into the seabed and placed glass walls extending into the seabed, digging out a hole that was slightly larger than the glass dome, so as to have water surrounding the whole dome. Once that was finished, I flooded the area around the dome by digging up the seabed dirt surrounding the dome.

Longest post ever!

TL;DR: I made a stone chunk, placed glass around it, and then hollowed it out from the top down.

Settlers of Catan
I love this game; it's definitely near the top of the list of my most favorite board games.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Yay the forums are back up!  And on that happy note, I also have this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqVAxohYci4

I've actually done a bunch more work even since posting that video, like digging out the rooms in the basement and putting in a bunch of windows and stuff, but you get the general idea.

Castle looks amazing weldon. I even got lost in the secret tunnels a few times. I left a message in front of the castle for the the next time you guys are online.

You can make paintings in Minecraft using sticks and cloth. There are about a dozen different paintings in the game. Imagine my elation when I made this one!

No way, I'm logging in to check that out.

Yeah, there are about a dozen paintings, and you randomly get one. They are all pretty cool.
