Also, considering how spyware evolves and mutates daily, I couldn't see Microsoft producing updates that quick.  :)
You don't need to be an AV-program to detect spyware. Does Ad-Aware do daily updates?

   Adaware updates almost daily.

I know.  I'm just saying that if they haven't even developed a product to remove viruses yet, they definitely wouldn't develop something to combat spyware.
