Doubtful. Even if she was able to pull off getting paid, she wouldn't be owed for the time that she wasn't the owner of the Sun, I believe.

No, like Doon said, it was good future planning. Colonization will probably not happen for many, many years, but it will eventually. But I guess nobody thought of one person trying to claim ownership.

In the future, when space colonization occurs, I hope that humanity can make a world with less borders than our current one, as that law envisions. However, as is usually the case, ideology will probably fold to necessity. I wonder: will there be wars fought in space by Earthlings for control of celestial bodies? Probably.

If we do reach space colonization without obliterating the Earth, then yes, space colonization wars are probable.

Much as I dislike the idea, I must admit that I would LOVE to see such a fight for the awesome space weapons and technology of the future.
