An informative read on some of the changes KQ has gone through over the years was posted to GOG.com, including a section on TSL!

Hmm, this article is the second time I've come across claims that Lorelei Shannon wrote a hintbook for KQ1:Quest for the Crown (its also mentioned in a extra that came with the King's Quest Collection, 15th anniversery edtion, The Royal Scribe)...

The strange thing is I haven't found any evidence of such a book existing. I do know she made one for KQ6. The only copies of the KQ1 Hintbook that I know of were actually written by Al Lowe.

I'm beginning to wonder if the information in the 15th Anniversery collection was a typo, and they meant "King's Qust <V>I, and forgot the "V".

Though I have to say, I'm quite thrilled that they honored the King's Quest Omnipedia, by referencing it in the MOE development section of the article, and the one for KQ7, :) I really am quite proud of the MOE article, its probably the most complete article on the subject out there (I just wish I had access to some of the material I had years ago).
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

There are a few errors, but overall it is well-written.

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!
