(And I already DO have that written in a sort of essay form, so if you're interested...;))

I'm interested!

Seriously, Doon?  'Cause I was kinda kidding. ;]  I mean, not about it being written ('cause it really is), but about actually posting it...but if you're serious, I'd be glad to share with you. :)

Oh yes, I'm completely serious. If you don't want to post it here, you could email it to me as well. I am genuinely interested. :)

Okay, wow. :)  I'll post it in my thread so this one doesn't meander too much.

So I totally watched the original TRON last night on youtube and oh em freaking gee, how have I gone my life without ever seeing that?! I absolutely loved it! :D  Of course it's outdated and a little campy, but that only adds to its awesomeness.  If I was alive in the early 80's I totally would have been one of those geeks in the original cult following.

So now that I've watched it, I'm dancing on my tiptoes wanting to see the second one again.  I feel bad for misjudging it so badly--I most definitely saw some of the references in the second one, but I know I'd catch more of them with this one so fresh in my mind.  You guys were so right--I was soooooo wrong.

So thanks for talking me into seeing the original, and for giving me the idea to give #2 a chance.  I'm so happy that I have! ;D

I'm glad we were so persuasive. Sometimes giving something a second chance makes all the difference in the world.

XD  I'll be working at GameStop opening to closing, so I won't have to bother with the testosterone pit very much. I can't stand sports and I'd rather be playing a video game than playing Football...

Oh, and I had a question about the original TRON movie...
CLU was "derezzed" at the very beginning of it, right?  So how does he show up in the second one as the tyrannical ruler?  Did Flynn recreate him after he realized that he could visit The Grid?  I know there's a scene in Legacy where it shows him making CLU, but that whole time frame kinda messes me up.
EDIT: As Snabbott would say, what would we do without search engines?  I found the answer myself. :)

My wife is being nice and not making me watch the game (she's a native Wisconsinite, so she feels a need to watch). Unfortunately, I have to work. :(

From what I understand, the second Clu was created after the events of the first movie. And honestly, I had no idea Clu was in the first movie... My friend rewatched it a while ago and told me and I just stared at her in disbelief. I was like, "how did I miss that?"
